PAUL's POV

Andito ako ngayon sa surprise birthday party ng aking bestfriend na si Xander given by his wife, Kim. Nakakatuwa kasi, ngayon ding gabi  magpopropose si Xander ke Kim para pakasalan uli ito after their first wedding 10 years ago. Surprise din yun ha ha ha. Para lang silang mga sira pero in-love eh. Nakakatuwa sila, after seven years of separation, they found their way back to each others' arms. True love daw ang tawag dun. Hay, ako kaya kelan? Ha? Ano   yung sinabi ko? Ako si Paul Cabrillo? Playboy at casanova,  looking forward to a happy married life? Ha ha ha. Kung ano-ano na ang naiisip ko kakasama sa   best friend kong ito. Nahawa na yata ako sa pagiging corny, cheezzey  at hopeless romantic nya.

Mag-isa akong nakaupo dito sa bar nang bigla kong makita ang isang pamilyar na mukha sa isa sa mga reception table. Hindi ako makapaniwala. Sya ba talaga yun? Kinusot ko ang mata ko to make sure that I am not hallucinating. Sya nga! Wow! She looks more beautiful! Not a day older four years ago. The only woman who captures my heart..... Dr. Maricar Ann Sales. 

MARICAR's POV

Andito ako ngayon sa surprise birthday party ni Xander at  surprise proposal nya din ke Kim, yun asawa nya na kakabalik lang mula New York. Nakakatuwa ang love story nila. Kahit nun nasa Med School pa kami ni Xander, wala syang ibang bukang-bibig kundi si Kim. Ang swerte lang talaga ni Kim at mahal na mahal sya ni Xander. Ako kaya, makakakita pa  ng para sa akin? Ay ano ba itong bigla kong naisip? Maricar, ano ka ba? Ginawa mo nang bato ang puso mo, matigas na yun, hindi na nito kailangan ang pag-ibig!    Hindi ako mahilig mag-aattend ng mga ganitong klaseng party pero dahil ka-close ko si Xander, eto wala akong nagawa kundi pagbigyan sya. Hindi kaya umalis yun kanina sa clinic ko hangga't hindi ako umuoo sa invitation nya na pumunta dito. Ang hindi nya alam,  na-invite na kaming lahat through our director, ng wife nya.
