Life in a house that is a toxic environment isn't easy. Susanne White knows that. Whenever her parents have one of their violent quarrel, she wonders if there's life on Mars, so that she could live there. Some people on planet Earth are evil. And whenever she feels that way, Susanne would go to the cinema and watch the same old film, since that's the only one that comes on in that cinema. By now, that film has become a saddening bore to her, for she's watched it ten times or more.
Whenever her parents have one of their violent quarrels, she would just switch her old radio on, put her headphones on and wait for something to happen, to no result. That happens every time she does that.
