choiyj: hey
choiyj: thank you
choiyj: gn :)

With Yeonjun's thought of Soobin probably asleep by this time, he forgot that he sleeps past midnight. He's now sure that his message would be seen and that the younger will reply immediately.

choisoobin: hiiiiii
choisoobin: youre very welcome
choisoobin: sleep well, yeonjunie :)

Yeonjun didn't reply, he just read Soobin's messages. He obviously has this habit of leaving messages on read. He thinks Soobin is getting used to his kind of habit. Yeonjun noticed that Soobin isn't really complaining about him not replying anymore. Maybe he's just really used to it. It's already been at least two weeks since they started the daily messages anyway.

Yeonjun, who sleeps earlier than Soobin, placed his phone on his side table and immediately covered himself with a blanket, now about to sleep. He turned off his night lamp and finally closed his eyes.

However, Soobin's not gonna let him sleep peacefully. Not yet.

"It's almost ten. Why the hell is he calling?" Yeonjun murmured and got his phone. Surprisingly, he answered the call from Soobin.

"Yeonjunie..." Soobin's sleepy voice was heard on the other side of their call. Yeonjun gently placed his phone down on his bed, beside him. He didn't plan to talk. He'll just listen to Soobin. He thought Soobin was going to end the call if he wasn't talking. "Hey, Yeonjunie.." As he followed his plan, he didn't actually respond. He let Soobin talk on his own like he was talking to himself.

"Are you sleepy?" Soobin asked, but he received no answer. "Oh, I think you are."

Though Yeonjun's eyes were closed, he was still listening to Soobin. His left eyebrow suddenly raised when he heard nothing from Soobin over the past seconds of their call. 'Did he finally end it?' Yeonjun asked in his mind, but what he heard next made his tired and sleepy self into an awake one.

"Siheomboda eoryeowo.." With Soobin's angelic voice, he sang. Yeonjun sat up on his bed, holding his phone and a placed a pillow on his lap. He was anticipating for more. "Ne mam matchugi.."

"Haru jongil dwijyeosseo, timeline sok ne feed.." Yeonjun didn't speak, nor make any sound. He didn't plan to interrupt Soobin's singing. actually, He never planned to stay up 'til this hour and listen to him singing. He never actually thought this call's going to last for minutes. "Mwol joahani...?"

They didn't know, nor noticed, that their call was getting longer than expected. Looking at their past calls, it would only last five to ten seconds because Yeonjun would always end it. But now, I don't think he'll end their on going call. He really seems to be enjoying the other's voice.

Soobin continued singing as more seconds have passed. The other was singing, the other was listening. It seems weird but his voice made Yeonjun felt something. Something unexpected. shivers, to be exact.

He heard so many singers sing live, with their beautiful voices. even his friends, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Huening Kai, they actually sing. Their voices are great, including Yeonjun himself. He just doesn't really sing around anyone.

But here's the big deal. He felt something new from Soobin that he didn't feel from the other people whose voices he already heard. He couldn't explain it. And, no. It's not the feeling of liking someone. He does not like Soobin and he's sure about it. Or maybe not yet? Kidding.

"Oneuldo tto bameul sae..." Soobin sang again. For a few more seconds, Yeonjun was listening while his eyes were closed but they opened when he heard nothing again from soobin. "I'm sorry. you can sleep now."

"Why are you saying sorry?" Yeonjun asked. "Continue."

"Continue..? But I don't know anymore," Soobin said as his volume was slightly getting lower and lower. He got shy.

"What do you mean?" Yeonjun asked again. How come he doesn't know anymore?

"I haven't finished the lyrics," Soobin was really shy. But for what? His voice was good and Yeonjun will definitely agree to that. The melody of the music was great as well. So, why is he shy?

"Oh, it's your own composition?" Yeonjun again asked as he was slowly laying again on his bed and covered her lower body with his soft blanket. "It's really nice."

Yeonjun heard a giggle from Soobin. Maybe he was too happy to receive a compliment? He knew he was smiling without even seeing him. Compliments were out of Yeonjun's vocabulary. His friends knew that. But how come he's giving compliments to this one?

"Thank you," Soobin responded softly. "You can sleep now. I'm sorry if I disturbed your sleep. I just really wanted to sing."

"It's fine," Yeonjun replied. "Uh, Soobin?"

"Yeah?"

"Will you continue the song?" Yeonjun hesistated at first but still asked. Soobin didn't respond. Seconds have passed, still no reply. Maybe Soobin was deciding if whether he'll continue the song or not. "Please, do."

No one knows what Soobin was already feeling on the other side of the call. No one knows except him. After all, Soobin was pretty quiet for a minute now. Maybe he's shocked to hear Yeonjun liking it.

"It's okay if you don-" Yeonjun stopped midsentence. It was interrupted.

"Yeonjun," Soobin called.

"Hmm?"

"Sure. Will do." Yeonjun smiled.
