they all nodded in understanding and wanda continued, "if i see any funny business, i am going to magic you into a pickled herring." she directed the words mostly at the two adults in front of her walking away, as pietro made a face and selena looked around the home while whistling, acting innocent.

in the neighborhood full of children and adults dressed in costumes, were the maximoffs. the adults were walking behind the kids, tommy, lily, and billy arguing about competing to get the most candy. tommy started running ahead, lily and billy racing after him
"unleash hell, demon spawn!" pietro shouted to tommy as selena and wanda chuckled
"do you remember when we were at the orphanage after mom and dad died?" wanda interrogated as pietro and selena nodded for her to go on, "what was the name of that kid who was always trying to steal your boots? you know he was the one... he had the- he had the skin thing."
selena tilted her head and rose her eyebrows while pietro pointed at wanda saying, "you're testing me," he dragged out the last word. "no I'm not!" wanda defended herself.
pietro put his hands up in surrender, "hey, it's cool. i know i look different,"
"understatement," selena spoke up, as he gave her a mocking face to which she childishly returned.
"why do you... look different?" wanda inquired almost like she desperately wanted to know the answer, "i keep askin' the same thing, hun." pietro playfully rolled his eyes
"you tell me. i mean, if i found shangri-la, i wouldn't want to be a writer of the past either," he stated matter-of-factly as wanda looked at him while smiling in confusion, while selena's face scrunched up- puzzled as to what he said
she was a bit slow, but don't tell her that
"next house mom!' tommy exclaimed running towards the adults while laughing, "junior entrepreneur, over here!" pietro exclaimed
lily walked over to her mother, "i managed to snatch more candy than i was supposed to!" she stated proudly, a huge grin grew on selenas face as she spoke encouragingly, "that's my girl" and fist bumped her while they giggle mischievously
