Hey! Nice that you found that story. I hope you like it and I would be immensely happy If you left comments as I want to improve my writing. Have fun!😊⭐⭐

„You here to finish me off, sweetheart?”  Lynn grinned at the handsome male in front of her, holding the large hunting knife tightly in her left and the dagger in her right. She wore her black fighting leathers beneath a wide cloak that was held together by a pin on her right shoulder and covered the deadly weapons in her hands.

“What makes you think that?” she asked, smiling sweetly. He scanned her hooded face and shrugged.
“Oh, I don´t know. Perhaps the fact that you broke into my home in the middle of the night. Or that I killed your lover the last time we met,” he crooned as a response and shifted his right hand in the direction of his broad leather belt.

“If I were you, I wouldn´t do that, Cass. As a matter of fact I´m not here to kill you.” He laughed, his husky voice sending waves of hatred through her body. “No? If I were you, I wouldn´t try, either.”
She gritted her teeth, barely able to restrain herself.

“A former friend once told me that a good warrior knows when to pick a fight. This is not the time for this battle. Actually, I´m here to offer you impunity in exchange for your services in the upcoming war.” For a moment they simply stared at each other unblinkingly. He was unearthly beautiful with his short, blond hair and those intense green eyes that were flecked with golden spots and matched his tanned skin. His eyes were fixed on her, tracking her every movement.

Then his lips twisted into an arrogant smile that revealed his white teeth and made her want to throw up. “That must be hard for you… Seeing me here and not being able to get your revenge.” He laughed. She tightened her grip around the hilt of her dagger.

“Careful, Cass. If you irritate me I will rip your eyes out and play billiard with them. Do you understand?” He stopped laughing but kept smirking as he winked at her.

Ignoring her threat, he said: “They must be desperate if they want me to come to the White City. Besides, why would they send you to fetch me?” She smiled sweetly. “Because they know that I would kill you without hesitation if you stepped out of the line…” “Nonsense. They want me alive. Nobody would be that stupid and pick you for the job…” His eyes narrowed. “Unless they don´t know that it was me who killed Feyron…”

In the fraction of a second she had unsheathed her dagger and pressed it against his throat. The blade scratched the skin of his neck and blood seeped into his green tunic as she hissed: “Don´t dare to speak his name, you stupid prick. He was my mate, my friend, my lover! And you killed him.” Their faces were so close that they shared hot breath. Rage darkened his eyes. “And you assassinated my mate, Lynn! Don´t forget that part of the story.”

She slowly released the breath she hadn´t known she was holding and silently replied: “She was a traitor, Cass! She tried to eliminate magic and all the people wielding it. I only did my job!” He nodded. “I know. And I made a vow to avenge her, you see?” “Then why didn´t you kill me? Why did you end Feyron´s life instead of mine?”

He leaned forward, gripping her wrist as she tried to back away and purred: “Because that wouldn´t have been enough. I wanted you to feel the pain I have felt and I wanted you to know that it is your fault that Feyron is dead.” He released her hand and she stepped back, paling. “You´re a monster,” she whispered. “I am what you turned me into.”

Hey, this first story is really short, but I hope you liked it, nonetheless. Please, please leave comments. This is the first story I wrote in English as I am no native speaker and currently learning English at school.
