Dreams punishments were horrible. Not only did you not eat for what felt about 10 days, they never appeared once, leaving you completely alone in the darkness after they stole your torch. It doesn't sound bad, but the silence was deafening, and the darkness suffocating. Your hands stay encased in iron, making you extremely uncomfortable. Your dreams never got better, your mind starting to remember more and more after years of suppression. Dreams about the horned man became more vivid, forcing your waking hours to be spent in paranoia of him somehow showing up after years. The nausea from the days prior was still present, making your already starving stomach feel emptier. It began to become painful, leaving you curled in a ball on the prison bed. The pain makes you lose sense of time, making seconds feel like minutes, a night turns into a week.
The only company you had were your thoughts, and they were not friendly. The voice of an old friend and traitor was stuck in your head, making you feel crazy. The only way to keep grounded was the occasional thumps from above you, letting you know there was a possible escape above you. When your mind was silent, you felt calm, yet the grainy voice kept coming back, whispering forgotten commands, making your muscles twitch in response, ready to strike. You tried everything to get the voice out, but nothing worked.
Everything was making you go insane, getting you to a point where you had only one goal.
Getting home by any means necessary.
