With the longed silence filling my ear. I sat on the high chair. Leaning my cheeks on my palm. Thinking about how my grandmother knows about the engagement, I didn't remember anything I told her that. I sighed.

Suddenly, I heard the door opened so I immediately stood up and welcomed him with an open arm. His face lit up and hugged me.

"So you know about the engagement party?" I asked Zackelthon.

I felt him stilled but he just sighed it.

"Nalaman ko lang kanina." simpleng sagot nya bago kumalas ng yakap sa akin.

I stared on him while his looking away. Like his avoiding something. When he noticed me staring on him, he glanced at my direction then he immediately avoided again. Now I felt something suspicious.

"What?" He casually uttered but with nervousness.

"Alam mo ang tungkol dito no?" I asked suspiciously.

His stoic expression didn't change but he can't fool his eyes. I saw a glimpse of nervousness on it.

"You're done cooking?" He tried to change the topic.

I'm already done with cooking dinner. Nagtagumpay nga syang ibahin ang usapan. Maaga kasi akong dumating keysa sa kanya. I know his trying to change the topic. Siguro ay wala pa s'yang balak sabihin sa akin.

"Oo. Maligo ka mona." sabi ko.

He nod and kissed my forehead before he storms out in front of me. I entered the kitchen and prepared the food. Naka-upo lang ako habang kaharap ang pagkain, hinihintay matapos si Zackelthon.

Based on how he reacted, I know that he knows about it. Bakit ayaw nya nalang aminin sa akin? Hindi naman ako magagalit.

I stood up to get a glass of water when my phone suddenly vibrated on the table. It was Krisha who is calling. Holding the glass of water, I answered Krisha's call.

"Hel-" I didn't finish my word because she immediately talked.

"Is it true that you're now engaged!?" she asked with a loud voice. Like she was shocked about it.

"Uhmm. What about it?"

"On your birthday? I can't believed this! You didn't tell me." klaro sa boses nya ang pagtatampo.

I consider her as my sister and I always told her things pero dahil busy sya sa honeymoon nila hindi ko magawang sabihin iyon. I want them to enjoy as a married couple. May balak naman akong sabihin pero dahil binigla ako ni Lola kaya pati ako ay nasurpresa.

"Hindi ko alam na may hinandang engagement party si Lola. She always surprised me! Ngayon ko lang nga nalaman na nay hinanda s'yang gan'on!"

"Uuwi kami d'yan the day before your birthday and engagement, ah."

I chuckled. "Sure."

Matapos ang tawagan namin ay kasabay ng pagpasok ni Zackelthon sa kusina. Naupo naman sya kaagad at nagsimula ng kumain kasabay ko.

He is very serious guy. I wonder if he have a lot of friends? Si Steven lang kasi ang kilala ko.

"I'm planning to build a new hotel." sabi nya sa kalagitnaan ng pagkain namin.

"Where?"

"I don't have a branch in Spain."

My brows furrowed. He owns a lot of hotel here in Asia at marami din syang iniinvest na kompanya kaya hindi ako makapaniwalang wala pa s'yang hotel sa Spain.
