satoru's POV
I sit in the small black car with my mother and older brother, looking out the window, my mother looks in the mirror taking a look at me and Hajime seeing we both held the same expression.
I hear a soft sigh drawing my attention from the rain on the window," Satoru honestly don't look so sad...." the woman with long black hair stopping me from seeing the disappointment on her face, "YOU should be grateful your even allowed to live with me" my brother suddenly starts to search for my hand I slowly guide I hand under his and he grips it tight.
the rest of the trip was filled with my mother yelling at me and my brother keeping me from screaming at her before we arrived at our new house; the car comes to a stop rain still bashing the windows.
I look at the house as my brother pulls me out onto his side of the car, his brown hair falling over his eyes, he keeps a tight grip as the noisette haired female grabs the two bags shoving them at me and gently passing him an umbrella into his hands.
the slender woman gets back in the car and looks at me, "I'll be back in a month to give you two your uniforms for school it's a 2-hour walk from here, make sure you with Hajime the whole time till he gets used to the place," she frowns at me, then smiles at my brother," okay Haji I'm going now I'll see you at the end of the month, bye!" the car slowly pulls off circling us.
I feel something splash on my back, I turn to see my bitch of a mother who had thrown her tea at my back before driving off, lucky it was cold but that wouldn't have been the first time I had had a hot beverage thrown at me.
we stood there for a bit before I felt a tug on my hand," so are you going to help me go into the house," Haji slowly walked forward before I started to pull him into the rundown house.
"be careful the floor is rotting," we walk over the dull floor before we go into a dark living room with a broken couch and chairs, I took my hoodie off and placed it on a table then sat Hajime down," it's a mess in here..." I look around listening to the dripping of the rain from distance places of the house before a loud bang lit the sky making me jump into my older brother's arms.
"What time is it?" he holds me tight before I pull out my phone. I sigh see it was just hitting 11:30 pm and we had our tour of the school tomorrow as well as a whole bunch of cleaning," it's half an hour to the midnight we best get to sleep" he nods and pulled out a blue a sleeping bag and a grey one he passed me the bigger one on accident, I laughed before pushing the hair from his eye smiling at him," I wish it was mum and not you and dad who were in that fire..."
a sad look came to the clouded eyes of my brother before I take the smaller bag and get into it after helping him get into his, he held me tight as the thunder and lightning struck louder and louder causing me to wake up and grip my brother as tightly as I could.
the next day
Hajime's pov
my arm went limp from my brother gripping it for so long," Satoru wake up" I softly felt for his shoulder so I could flip him onto his back so we could both wake up, the silence almost deafening, "HELLO!" I hear a soft thud from next to me.
"BRO I KNOW YOUR BLIND BUT JUST WAIT NEXT TIME," I could tell he was glaring at me by the tone in his voice, I hear shuffling then Satoru grabbing my hand and taking me out the door," we fell asleep in our clothes from yesterday, you're wearing a blue T-shirt you cards are in your back pocket of your jeans, so you can give them to teachers ..." he walks faster I'm guessing the bus had pulled up, " theirs a step watch out" I take a step he guides my leg to make sure I don't fall. I listen as he pays for our tickets then he walks me to the back of the bus.
more silence, I hate the silence, "baby bro is anyone on the bus with us?" I whisper to him knowing he's a bit mad if people heard me calling him that. " no haji I'm guessing this is the first stop for the school bus and no one gets on at the station, that or the station people are upstairs"
They came to a few steady stops before the bus was loud, Toru stopped talking and rustled threw out bags before handing my noise-cancelling headphones, to block out the noise a bit.
Satoru's pov
hajime's hearing is sensitive and the loudness would making his head hurt if it got any louder; the bus stopped and teens funleled out of the bus and we followed after it emptied.
