Darkness

A/N: Hey guys! This is my first book so please don't judge if it's not good. If you have nothing nice to say then don't say it at all. I don't need to be reminded that I am a lousy writer.  Also, I will put a TW in the title and the reason why so you can skip the chapter if you need to. I will put a brief explanation of what happened in that chapter if anything important happens. The main character has some ADHD so the plot would make sense, but nothing too major (I think). Anyway, that's enough talking, let's get started. :)

               It was dark. Very dark. Why? I don't know, but it was creeping out me a little. A cold voice says, "Hello Avery, did you have a nice summer?" If you call being beaten up by your parents for no reason then being locked in your room with one of the only ways to get fresh air was to sneak out, then yes it was wonderful. "Yes, Doc. I had lots of fun with my family I say." Come on! They forced me to say that! That's unfair! Kid, a little voice in my head spoke, life's unfair. "Well, you know the routine, time to wipe your memories," Doctor Meyer said. Why did I just remember that? That happened 5 years ago.

           Alright, I'm sorry, let me fill you in. When I was born, my mom didn't want me. My dad was hoping I would be a boy. Sucks for him, I am a girl. They named me Avery Brooklyn. I know right, what kind of name is that? I asked that once and it didn't end too well. They are secret Hydra rats. No one knows that they are, of course, they are so annoying-ly good at being bad! Ugh! When I was three, they gave me over to Hydra to train me as a spy and do all their dirty work. Every summer, I'm forced to be with them and live in their ugly mansion, with their ugly faces. Sometimes I leave to wander around and look at the pretty architecture here in Germany. Yeah, and where is my town? TEN MILES FROM THE SECRET HYDRA HEADQUARTERS! Coincidence? I think not! I have an American accent though, which is kinda weird but whatever. I like to draw, listen to rock music,(through my wireless earplugs that I definitely didn't steal), and wander around the town saving people from the bad guys. I have hazel/green colored eyes with black-brown hair. I know almost all of HYDRA's dirty secrets, but it comes with a price. Every time I come back to headquarters from the summer, they erase everything from my mind except my parents and the stuff that happened in my house.

               I wake up in the cold cell, on the floor. I have no bed, you see. Just a thin blanket. I hear some guards talking in.. Russian?? Weird. I know around 100 languages, not to brag or anything. I have very good fighting skills, I am phenomenal at, archery, pretty much any gun, and I know how to fight with a knife. And I know how to fly any ship. HYDRA didn't teach me any of these of course, why would they ever do anything useful. I taught myself with the weapons I have in my- whoops I almost said it. That just between me and my diary. Yes, I have a diary. A secret one, for writing good memories so I won't forget them. Ok, we are getting off-topic let's do somethi- "Doctor Meyer wants to spik vith you," a guard says with a heavy accent. He led the way and I see the hideous creature that turned me into this monster. "Ah yes Avery, since you have been such a good little girl,-" Who are you calling little?!?! I'm 13, very NOT little!!"I thought that I would reward you with one hour of 'playtime' in the snow!" I said that's fine and the guard told me that the snow gear is in my cell. In my cell, there was one pair of snow pants, boots, fingerless gloves(wth?!?!), and a thin hoodie. I went outside and inhaled the fresh air. I had a plan. I will escape this dump. I am running away.

           I made many escape routes when I was younger and I'm going to the one I feel most confident about. Number 30. It's a tunnel but no one can see it because it is in a blind spot. It's pretty much a blizzard out here. I entered the tunnel.

A/N I know this is short but, yay first chapter ever! I know it sucks but I needed to add the background info so yea.
