𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 to the bakery, she couldn't help but cross her fingers. The bakery was usually busy, since everyone wanted to have a taste of the famous Niki's pastries. No one minded that, though. While they would wait for their order, they'd usually talk to the regulars here, and make some new friends.

But today, having a huge line up might come with a bit of consequences.

Now more alert of her surroundings, she cautiously made her way towards the bakery.

Spotting some fresh blossomed orchids, she couldn't help but quickly pick them. Swiftly pinching the stem and obtaining the flower, the girl collected a bit more, temporarily forgetting all her problems.

"Y/n?" A soft voice called.

She quickly stood up, and got ready to flee, the flowers long forgotten. Instead of a steaming mad villager, she spotted one of her most dearest friends, holding two bags in each hand.

"Niki!" The girl smiled, delighted to not be shot by arrows.

"Hello!" The blonde greeted, walking over to her. "I heard the news."

Y/n couldn't help but feel a tinge of worry, h̶o̶p̶i̶n̶g̶  praying Niki didn't believe the rumors.

"Yeah? Oh.." The y/e/c eyed girl laughed nervously.

"No need to worry. I've come to bring you some treats, since you probably won't be going out in public for a while. At least until all the lies burn down." The 19 year old assured in her soft German accent, handing her the bags full of pastries.

"Oh! Thanks!" She thanked, taking a peak in one of the nicely decorated bags. There were sugary cinnamon rolls aligned in a plastic holder, all seemingly fresh. "You didn't have too."

"Maybe, but I thought you'd like it." Niki shrugged.

"I definitely will. Speaking of which, Tommy, Ghostbur- which is the ghost's name, and I will be baking. Ghostbur'll be handing the homemade treats to the villagers, then hopefully they'll see he isn't bad. I was hoping you'd come back with us, and maybe lend some instructions and ingredients." Y/n asked.

"I'd love too, but I can't. The bakery is extremely busy today, and I'm only going to take a five minute break. I'll gladly give you some recipes and ingredients, though!" The light brown eyed girl spoke. "How much do you need?"

"Maybe a bit." She replied.

"Alright, well I'll give you as much as I can. Is it alright if I drop it off at your house?" The blonde asked.

"That'd be fine," The girl confirmed, crouching to pick up the already picked orchid flowers. "Thank you!"

"It's no problem, really." She brushed off. "I should get going now. I'll see you later!"

Y/n waved as she stood back up, a few surprisingly undamaged flowers in her hand, as well as the pastry  bags.

Walking to her house, the bags rustling because of the cool breeze at every step, she couldn't help but feel extremely lucky to have Niki as a friend. She always stayed by her side, and defended her anytime she can.

In terms of some uneventful days here- except the meeting with Ghostbur, she had to admit it was a bit odd.

There was a feeling deep inside her, that kept urging her something horrible was going to happen. Another disaster, you could say.
