"You dare to cross the borderline into here?" Xiwangmu glared as she got up. Unbothered that she was completely naked. "These demons, showing up everywhere..." she mumbled a few curses.

"Lady Xiwangmu!" Ming said in concern. But the goddess held out a hand to keep a distance. Xiwangmu held a ball of light, a star afloat on the palm of her hand. The creature jumped at her, but she only jumped higher, now above, the said creature. The star was thrown at it and exploded. Leaving it to crumble. 'Boring.'

Another rustle came from behind. She turned around in annoyance. And she was met with amber eyes. He was pale skinned, with medium-length black hair, and with teal undertones. Also possessed green markings, or tattoos around his right arm.

The male had a questionable expression. His pale skin cheek, slowly turned red. As he was face to face with a naked woman. And noticed she was taking a bath.

"Ming, towel please."

"Yes, Lady Xiwangmu." He perked up at the name.

"How long do you plan to stare?" She smirked.

"That... was not my intention. Uh.."

"Oh dear me." Xiwangmu wrapped the towel around herself, as Ming carried her clothes.

"S-sorry to disturb your bath time."

"No worries, you weren't the one who bothered me."

"I... felt the presence of a demon just now. And I came to slay it."

"Ah! You're Xiao, correct? One of Morax's Yakshas. He's mentioned you before, and I've wanted to meet you! Oh, and that demon is long gone now."

"And... I believe you're Xiwangmu, Queen Mother of the West?"

"Queen Mother-is that what they call me?" She soon shrugged it off.

"I've heard you're a very powerful goddess. And the heighest of the deities?"

"Eh. I don't exactly know about that. I was extremely known after the Archon War."

"You fought alongside Rex Lapis..."

"Well, he's like my older brother so of course I did."

"Are you-"

"Oh, there's more? I'd prefer if I get dressed first."

"O-of course." He turned away from her. The other servants guided Xiao to the table Xiwangmu always sits at, near the temple.

She returned in her hanfu, as it flowed ever so lovingly. It seems that Xiao has heard of 'The Great Xiwangmu.' And he was heard of her first by the Moon Carver, and Cloud Retainer, about how close she is with his their respected god.

Xiwangmu put a plate of almond tofu, and his eyes lit up.

"Fufu. I heard it's your favorite, so I've practiced making it." She smiled as she sat down in her chair.

"Um, thank you."

"My pleasure."

"Are you... really bound to the mortal realm?"

"Oh? You've heard? Well I am, the goddess of humanity. I have to be close to the humans, and see for myself."

"But you're also connected to the heavens."

"Yes. I am. This mountain is filled with heavenly presence."

"I think I should stop asking so many things."

"But I don't mind. You should visit more often. Or I'll visit you."

"That is unnecessary."

"Hm. Alright." Xiwangmu looked at his empty plate. "Another serving of almond tofu?" She pointed.

Xiao looked down, and noticed he ate it all.

"Y-yes please."

"I'm glad you like it. Almond tofu is my favorite as well. Though, I'm guessing you have a different reason as to why. Ming, another serving for him."

"Of course."

"How did you know?"

"Hm?"

"How did you know I had a different reason?" His question stuck to her head for a little. Until she opened her mouth to speak.

"Someone of yourself with a history, wouldn't simply like a lot of things, for such a simple reason....and well, the heavens tell me." She whispered with a wink.

"But-"

"Xiao, you ought to get going soon after you've finished your plate. Your duty as a Yaksha does not wait for you."

"...Right." He finished the almond tofu, and soon left.

Xiwangmu leaned back on her chair as she folded her arms.

"Ah, he's so loyal to his job Morax." She mutters. The wind carrying her hanfu sleeves. Could he stay loyal to his duty forever? Well, he's been doing that for nearly 3,000 years.

"Ming, I think I'll rest for the night."

"Yes, Lady Xiwangmu." Ming followed her to her room, as the others got her bed ready.

And the night grew quiet.
