𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 - 𝐬𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐮𝐬 𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐱 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫

𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐘 𝐎𝐅 𝐘𝐄𝐀𝐑 4

Louis was the one to act like a normal human being, complimenting Sam and (Y/N) with a smile on his face. The 5 of them got to the great hall, where the Ball was taking place, at 8.30.

(Y/N) wasn't expecting it to look so changed and so elegant. There were several people, dressed in black suits and dress robes, at one of the tables near the Christmas tree. They played music that would make anyone want to dance with.

But the thing was that no one had a date since they decided to go together as a group, so the idea of dancing romantically with someone was off the table. The event was underwhelming, so (Y/N) decided to spice things up. The thing was that before she could leave, Sirius and Priya entered the hall and the two of them were the best looking couple she'd seen.

She wasn't sure who she wanted to be: she wanted to be Sirius, to hold Priya's hands and get close to her. But she also wanted to be Sirius, to be close to him and his million-dollar smile.

But before she even got the chance to make a scene, she decided that it wasn't worth it. The 5 friends escaped the Ball unnoticed and headed to the (frozen) Black lake by Sam's request. (Y/N) thought that was useless, as they were all dressed with fancy dress robes, and no one had brought swimsuits.

But apparently, they all, except Regulus who disliked the dirty water, had. And no one bothered to bring her one, but it didn't really make her feel sad.

She was actually relieved that she wouldn't have to get into the lake. The 5 friends arrived at the lake but Sam insisted to get farther into the forbidden forest; they walked for a while until they got to the top of a small hill.

There was a tire being held up by brown robes, that were tied to the thickest branch of a tree. Louis and Leo got excited when they saw it, but (Y/N) and Regulus had no idea what it was; they explained that it was a swing, a structure that muggles and wizards used for recreational purposes. Leo was the first to sit on it, followed by (Y/N).

Since it was at the top of the hill, you could see everything: the moon reflected by the water of the frozen lake, the way the ground had a thick layer of snow covering it. But when Leo was about to push her forward, Sam stopped him saying that that wasn't the best part.

(Y/N) got off the swing at the same time Sam took off her dress and shoes and got on top of the tire. Leo pushed back the tire and when it was over the black lake, Sam jumped.

(Y/N) swore that her heart stopped, but when she heard the splash of water and the sound of Sam's laugh, she relaxed. The next ones to jump to the melted lake were Louis and Leo, leaving the (Y/H/C) haired girl alone with Regulus.

The two talked about different things, such as the stereotypes they received for being in Slytherin and about the Priya and Sirius situation. But the way Regulus looked longingly and lovingly at her passed unnoticed by the girl herself.

Meanwhile, Sirius was happy with how his ball experience turned out, but he could admit that it went under his expectations. Not only had Priya rejected him right before they went back to sleep, but he also hadn't got any reaction from (Y/N). All the detective work he had done, all the staring, even the monologue he had practiced in case she cried, all of that for nothing.

But it was useless to duel on it, so he just moved on. One afternoon, while "helping" Peter study in the library, Remus gave him and James books for them to read and shut up. In the pile of books, Sirius found a book telling him how to improve his manners and be a total playboy, in words of the book. That night, he stayed up making small notes in neon post its he had taken from Remus' trunk.

But he still had many doubts about the art of flirting, so it was natural that he went to the library again to try and find a sequel. But not only he didn't find the book he was looking for, but in his quest he had also trashed the library, so Ms. Pince made him clean up. But he found something even more interesting while he was completing his task, and it was a green book about Animagis.

After looking and reading some pages, Sirius was genuinely hooked. And what sealed the deal was a small, messy note in one of the corners of the book that said 'animagis can interact safely with werewolves'. But when he saw how to become an Animagi, his soul almost left his body. It was an extremely complicated process, and it required complete domain in Potions and Transfiguration.

So, instead of trying to become an animagi in the middle of the year, he decided that he would study so next year he, James and Peter would all become Animagis. He saved the book on his trunk, just besides the neon post its with notes about the playboy book.

The days turned into months and soon it was already April, and two brothers (one in Gryffindor and another in Slytherin) both got transferred to Ilvermorny, the American Hogwarts. Coincidentally, the Gryffindor was a beater while the Slytherin was a chaser, so their transfer left two unoccupied spots in both teams. (Y/N) convinced Regulus, while James convinced Sirius to join their house team.

So when the announcement of who got in was put in the announcement board of both common rooms, and both James and (Y/N) saw their respective friend had gotten in, they were ecstatic.

The problem came when, on the next quidditch game of the season that was against Gryffindor, Sirius and Regulus came face to face. Both of them were surprised, but the younger brother was the first one to get out of his initial shock and moved to get the quaffle out of the Gryffindor chaser.

Regulus was actually an excellent chaser, but I guess that your brother refusing to send bludgers your way was also an important factor.

The game continued for another 20 minutes until the Slytherin seeker took advantage of the distraction of the Gryffindor seeker and dived in for the Golden Snitch. That was, coincidentally, near the ear of his team's seeker.

When he extended his arm to grab the Snitch, it resulted in him crashing on top of the girl. Both of them fell, but the seeker got out of it unharmed, (Y/N) on the other side...

While the team got off their brooms when Madam Hooch gave Slytherin the win, Regulus and Louis went to help the girl. Both boys helped carry her to the infirmary, where Sam and Leo met them moments later.

Madam Pomfrey cured her easily, but for some reason put a bandaid on her previously broken nose. When she got out of the infirmary, her head ached and she wanted some peace. But when she got to the common room, loud music and blinding lights were there. Seemed like the celebratory party had started early, and even when they got asked to go to their dorms as the party was only for 5th years and up, the music was still loud and clear.

It made her headache worsen, so she decided to go for a walk. Alone.

She zoned out for most of her walk, trying to block the loud noises such as laughter or yelling of other students. She walked so much that she found herself on the seventh floor.

Frustrated, she repeated the same thing again and again, "I wish I had somewhere nice and quiet that no one would ever find."

But just as she was about to pass the tapestry depicting the attempt of Barnabas the Barmy to teach trolls ballet when a door she hadn't seen before appeared. She was a curious girl, so it was natural that she opened the door and entered. In the room was a comfy couch and several bookshelves filled to the brim with her favorite books.

She stayed in that mysterious room until her headache and good mood came back. And for the next days until the last day of 4th year was close. It was actually Sam who reminded her to pack her trunk.

During the end-of-term feast, she felt nervous and could barely eat, as she despised when the year ended. After everyone's trunks were on the train and Professor McGonagall organized the students, the train started to move.

Sam, Louis, Regulus, Leo, and (Y/N) sat together as always and talked about their plans for the summer. But the (Y/E/C) eyed girl didn't last long, as she fell asleep for the rest of the ride.

When they announced that the train would arrive at its destiny soon, the sound was what woke (Y/N) up. Her 4 friends had already changed into normal clothes, but the most extravagant looking one by far was Regulus.

Moments later, the train stopped at station 9 and 3/4, where everyone's parents were waiting for them enthusiastically. With a goodbye and a wave, the 5 friends parted ways.
