"But he was a hero who couldn't defeat his inner monster—infatuation, insecurity, envy; were the monsters who slaughtered his soul." — Chapter 48your mother was a storm of roses,
she kissed you with lips full of thorns
she hugged you with yell and spell,
not gentle lullaby, coos, or kissesyou took after her, you carried her beauty,
and painted your skin red with wrathyour father was a living shadow
a midnight lurker in search for freedom
he crowned prejudice atop his skull
and his body ached from bone to marrowyou looked at him and saw yourself
rotting under the facade of a nameyour brother was the sun
a museum of rebellion and fun
but the world begged him to shine
when his name buried him in the darkyou envied him, you wanted to be him
and you destroyed yourself to never dimbut you are not them, my King
you are made of pain and honey,
the collateral damage of family tapestry
a satin sheet between devotion and obligationyou are a war, Hades
and i am the battlefieldso i will be left in ruins like Athens
or butchered like the Spartans,
basking the untamed rage
you poured over mei will be stained of ichor like rapacious iron rods
i will vessel your poison and glorious sins
blade and arrows plunge my heart
yet i will only die
from your liesi want nothing of you, it rolled off your tongue
pomegranate dripped out of my lips,
and i choked as if air was razors
you master the art of lying
but darling, i see myself
in your eyesi love you, i said
i thought that will make you stay
it didn't, never will beand i can't make Eden out of a battlefield
if you are still in a war with yourselfi was sewing your pain to my body
i drank your fear like honey
until it intoxicated meHades, you kill me
but that is all right
you can't have me for an eternity,
if I haven't died beforehand— Goodbye, Regulus Black
"He was her happiest memoir of life, the sweetest symphony that was composed, aligned by the stars. He was the inspiration for Erik Satié's beautiful tune.
Regulus was her Gymnopédie."

Author's note:
Thank you for sticking with this story. There are a lot of things that I can improve in this story from plot, characterization and writing that I don't have the time, will, or ability yet atm, but maybe in the future if i decided to rewrite.
Thank you for all the supports in votes, comments, and all the kind messages sent to me! I love y'all TikTok edits too. You don't know how much it means to me.
Will this be the end?
No.
"... If chaos was made into a melody, it will be Gnossienne. It will be her, my favorite nightmare. My Gammaliel."

The scent of peony evaded the dark alley as his footstalls echoed. He discerned, the sweet scent was richer than he remembered, though, coated by something else. With wand clasped tight to his hand, Regulus stirred to the side only to halt when he felt a foreign coolness caressed the skin of his neck. Metal. A dagger, thought the alchemist.
He mustered a smirk before he spoke. "Glad to see you too, Goddess."
Her figure was not apparent, only silhouette, masked by the dimmed lamp-post, but her scent was blown by the wind from the tip of her hair. He could recognize her blind; from her steady steps, her scent, her adjusted breathing—he knew her that much that he despised it. With a whisper of lumos, her azure eyes glinted like fire. Light roamed the alley in a dash, and the brunette stood before him, after all this time.
Her dagger pinned harsher against his neck that Regulus hissed, she seethed. "Kneel."
Get ready for enemies to lovers arc
with "there is only one bed" trope. The sequel's characters is out on my profile!
I hope this story is interesting enough for you to read the next one. There will be more characters with diversity that I hinted here ( I really wished I wrote poc characters in this one since I'm one myself, but didn't because I didn't have enough time to do the research to portray/design their character beforehand, so I'm trying to do that in part 2).
With that said, I will take a break for a while before I write the sequel. Please don't forget to vote the chapters if you like this story. It really helps to boost this story and reach wider audience. ;)
I love you all so much, stay safe, take care.
Once again, thank you! <3- Gifta
