I sadly flew up towards my mother and she wrapped her arm around me before looking down at Lord Milori sadly almost like she was regretting something. He looked up at us the same way and I swear on Pixie Dust, his eyes also looked at me with the same sorrow and sadness. My mother then flew us back towards the palace.
Shortly after we arrived home, I found my mother in the study room and I flew up to her cautiously and said.
"Mother".
"Let me guess, you have questions". She said.
"I know you've told me to never go near the border a thousand times but you always seemed so sad especially when Winter time is near. Mother I maybe 1100 years old but I'm no fool, I deserve the truth this time".
"And that you do my dear," she came up to me and cupped my face and continued, "I had hoped this day would never come but you do deserve to know the truth".
She then flew towards the window and began her tale.
"Long ago; when Pixie Hollow was very young. Two fairies met and fell in love. One of them was a winter fairy, and the other was from the warm seasons. The two fairies were enchanted with each other, and every sunset they met at the border where Spring touches Winter. But as their love grew stronger—they wished to be together and share their worlds even.....even create a child together." at that statement my eyes widened. "So they disregarded the dangers and crossed......One of them broke a wing" I gasped. My mother then turned away as she continued, "For which there is no cure. From that day forward I decreed that fairies must never again cross the border and he agreed that their two worlds should forever remain apart". I flew up to my mother and asked her.
"And the two fairies.....what happened to them?" My mother's wings lowered sadly as she turned towards me and said.
"They had to say goodbye". I then looked down and tried my best to prepare the next question I had in mind.
"And.....the child?"
"The two of them agreed that the mother should keep their child safe, knowing that a child needs their mother more than anyone else, and do whatever it took to remove all trace of the father's magic before awakening her. It took her many millennia's but she finally managed to remove all winter magic from the baby and once she was ready, the mother waited until the baby's laugh came to her in order to awaken her child at last".
"So—Lord Milori is my....."
"You truly are wise beyond your years my child, yes. Lord Milori is your father. It broke his heart to stay away but he believed you'd be safer with me if he did. He couldn't bear the thought of taking you away from me. So he thought it best if I raised you on my own, knowing that you'd have a much better chance of surviving the removal of your winter powers than of what you are now". I turned away and flew towards the window and remained silent for awhile that was until I felt a snowflake fall onto my hand.
"Mother, look!" She came up beside me and we both saw snow falling from the sky. But that wasn't possible, winter wasn't for another few weeks so why would there be snow.
We soon took off flying and soon all the ministers of Spring, Summer and Autumn crowded around my mother and soon Tink and the rest of my friends came up around me and Iridessa said.
"We saw the snow".
"What's going on?" asked Rosetta.
"(Y/n) do you know what's happening?" asked Silvermist.
"I'm afraid not, but come on let's fly on ahead and find out come on!" My friends soon followed behind me and we came to a horrifying sight. A large storm cloud of snow was circling through the air like a tornado frosting over the Autumn woods.
