The smell of Tina's perfume wafted into his lungs as he trapped her in his arms, pummeling deeply into her. She was breathing hard, filling his ears with the sounds of her pleasure. He could hear her murmur quiet pleas to help her reach her release, but he wasn't even close. He wasn't ready for the moment to be over.

"Immanuel, please," she cried, cupping his sweat drenched face in her hands. She laid her wet lips on him and moaned into his mouth.

Her kiss had completely unraveled him. Nibbling gently on her bottom lip, he thrusted one last time into her, emptying his release into the condom.

Tina convulsed on top of him, panting into the pillow as she caressed his bulging arms. They were quiet for a long moment, basking in the sound of their breathing, until she spoke again. "I miss this."

Immanuel nodded to agree. "I miss you."

She laughed and pulled back to look at him. When he showed no evidence of dishonesty, her brows furrowed. "Immanuel—"

"I know," he said, pressing a finger to her lips to silence her. "We're just friends. Am I not allowed to miss you?"

She tried to smile, but it faltered when he rolled her onto her back. With a frown on her face instead, she watched as he entered the bathroom and removed the condom from his relieved cock. "I still believe you and I believe that we would have been soulmates in another life."

Ignoring her, he started up the shower and disappeared behind the curtain. Within seconds of the water hitting his skin, the curtain reopened. Tina was on the other side with her arms folded across her chest. She had a scowl on her face, but it quickly disappeared when she caught a glimpse of his wet, hard cock. She licked her lips, eager to have her pussy filled again.

"It's late," he said, avoiding her gaze. "I should really finish up and get home."

She opened her mouth to protest, but the solemn look on his face made her reconsider. So she nodded instead and returned to the bedroom.

Immanuel spent the next ten minutes in the shower washing off Tina's cherry blossom perfume and any evidence of intimacy. Although he had told her he was going home, he couldn't find joy in being cooped up in his apartment on a Friday night. He had intended to spend it with Tina, but the change of plan had been so unexpected. She didn't seem interested in having him around, either.

After he had dried off, he entered the bedroom to search for his clothes. He could feel her gaze on him, watching intently as he pulled each article of clothing on his sculpted body. His deep almond complexion glistened in the dim lighting of her bedroom from the water droplets he'd missed.

"I heard the Cloud Company was hosting an investors ball," Tina said just as he'd finished buttoning up his shirt. "Queen said those things can get really wild. Are you going?"

Immanuel patted down his pockets to confirm he had his keys and wallet. Then he forcibly met the pair of eyes staring back at him. She was expecting more than a response. "These events are just parties for the elite to flaunt their money. If you're looking for an invitation, ask Queen. People talk, and I'm sure you wouldn't want them getting the wrong impression when you show up on my arm."

She blinked hard at him, taken aback by his words. "You're holding back. What is it?"

He shook his head at her and then leaned over the bed he had just fucked her in to plant a kiss on her forehead. "Goodnight, Tina," he murmured before exiting her bedroom.

He showed himself out of her apartment and quickly made his way through the parking lot. Once he'd reached his car, he searched for Kyrie's name in his contacts and called him. He wasn't expecting him to answer, considering it was late. But when he was taken to voicemail, his heart sank in his chest, and he reluctantly pulled off toward his apartment.
