"Bye, I love you" Nolan said as he walked out the door
"Bye babe. See you later"
Nolan was off to morning practice and you had the day off today so you were just going to spend it relaxing, doing a bit of chores and catching up with your friends and family.
About an hour had gone by and you preparing a lunch for yourself while you were on the phone with your mom. Just as you finished and went to sit down you heard the front door open and then close. You saw Nolan standing by the door and got confused. He wasn't suppose to be home for another hour or so.
"Mom I'll call you back" You told her and hang up the call
"Nolan? What are you dong home so early" You questioned as he walked towards the living room "Did something happen at practice? Did you get traded?, I didn't see anything but then-"
"Y/N! Please stop talking" He spat out at you
You were taken back but did as he said. Nolan just laid on the couch with his eyes closed. And then he started to hold his head trying to get comfortable.
"Nolan baby, are you okay?" You quietly ask
"Yeah. I'm fine" He told you as he slowly got up and walked up to the bedroom
You knew exactly what was going on but you knew he didn't want to talk about. Nolan was going through one of his migraines. You hated seeing him like this but you knew he had to be alone for a bit to help ease the pain.
As Nolan rested you attempted to continue to do what you didn't finish earlier. But you wanted to keep the house quiet for him so you didn't get to do too much.
After a while you started on dinner. You prepared everything for you and Nolan. Hoping he would get up soon. By the time you finished he still hasn't gotten up yet and you started to worry. You covered everything up and then headed up to the bedroom.
You knocked on the door and opened it slowly "Nolan? You okay?"
The room was pitch black dark with only a little light now, from the hallway. You turned the light on and kept it dim. You then walked over to his side of the bed and saw that he was still sleeping. You smiled at the site of how peaceful he looked. You felt bad for needing to wake him up but he needed to eat something.
"Nolan! Nolan, baby you gotta get up, dinner is ready" You said in a loud whisper as you shook his shoulder
Nolan started to stir in his sleep and then shortly after groaned as he stretched himself out. His eyes flutter open and he smiles at you but it quickly fades.
You start to frown "What wrong?"
"I'm sorry about earlier. I knew you were just trying to help me and I snapped at you"
"It's alright. You don't need to apologize" You said as you brushed his hair out from in front of his eyes
"So how you feeling? You okay to go downstairs for dinner or should we have dinner in bed?" you asked him
"I feel a little bit better but my head still hurts a bit. Could we have dinner in bed today?"
"Sure baby" You said giving him a quick kiss and then leaving the room
You quickly put dinner on two plates and brought them upstairs. Nolan was sitting up in bed waiting for you, watching a little TV.
You handed him his plate and he thank you. You then went around to your side of the bed with your plate and join Nolan. You two enjoyed your dinner while laughing at whatever was playing on TV.
Suddenly Nolan started to hold his head and wince at the pain. You grabbed his plate and put it to the side. You also placed yours down too.
"It's okay baby. I'm here" You assured him
You quickly turned the lights and TV off. To help with Nolan's head.
You then quickly go back to bed and pull him into your lap. You started to rub his back and hold him.
"Just get some rest. It'll get better baby" You whispered to him
"I love you Y/N" You hear Nolan say quietly in your lap
"I love you too Nolan" You said still rubbing his back
You sat in the dark for bit until you felt Nolan's body relax and that's when you knew he was fully asleep. You then slowly moved Nolan over and you pulled yourself down under the covers. As soon as your head hit your pillow you fell asleep.
