Hey folks ! I'm back after a long break with a really simple and easy marble cake recipe ♡
Ingredients :
• 6 eggs • 2 cups of sugar • A pinch of vanilla, salt, and lemon zest • 1 cup of milk • 1 cup of plain yogurt • 3/4 of a cup of vegetable oil • 2 tbsp of lemon juice • 4 cups of flour • 3 tsp of baking powder • 3 to 4 tbsp of cocoa powder + a bit of water
Steps : • In a large bowl, stir the eggs, sugar, vanilla, salt, and zest, using a wooden spoon or an electric mixer • Add the milk, yogurt, oil, lemon juice, flour, and baking powder and mix again, until you obtain a homogeneous mixture • Divide it equally into two separate bowls (I personally find it easier to do using a ladle, but you can do it in any way you like) • Add the cocoa powder to one of the bowls, and mix using a spoon • Grease your baking pan (you'll need a medium-big sized one) and pour one layer of vanilla, one layer of chocolate, one layer of vanilla, one layer of chocolate... until you empty the bowls • Bake in the oven at 170°C (338 °F) for 40 minutes approximatively
(I only had small baking pans, so i had to use two and therefore make two small cakes, but here's how they turned out!)
