Floor-Licker

I make my way back down to the kitchen and make myself a sandwich.
Masumi is also eating.

Masumi is weird when it comes to dating.
She crushes on a guy in zero seconds and guys always fall for her too but max a month later and she doesn't give a single shit about them anymore.
It's kinda bad ass though.

I sit down next to her at the table and we talk about our upcoming exams.
Sumi's grades are actually good considering that she can be quite an airhead a lot of times.
Mine are good too but only because I'd have to move back to my parents if they weren't.

"Are you ready to go?"
She raises an eyebrow at me while she puts away the dirty dishes.

"Yeah."

"Great! Then let's get going!"

We put on our winter jackets and get in the bus.
A few stops later and we're there.

"Hurry up, Maiko-chan!"

Sumi grabs my hand and drags me towards the gym.
She's clearly nervous.
We sit down in the front row and watch the teams warm up.

"Masumi? Aren't those the twins from saturday? After the show?"

"You mean those guys with that weird bet?"

"Yup."

"Wait- you're right! And look over there is the other one! Jeez I was so fated that night I could barely even remember that happened!"

"Well this makes it all a lot more interesting, doesn't it?"

"Hehe yeah! I want to know how good the floor-licker can play!"

I laugh over his new nickname.

"So who's the guy you've been talking about the whole day?"

"Uhhh there!"

She points at a guy with grey hair with black ends.

"Do you know his name?"

"I think it was Kita or something. He's the captain!"

"Nice."

I look over the field and see that the floor-licker also noticed us and is now talking with his brother and the third boy about it while he furiously blushes.
I nudge Masumi in the side with my elbow and nod in their direction.
She giggles at the sight.

"What do you think they're talking about?"
Sumi looks at me with a puzzled face.

"Probably us."

"Duh! But what?"

"How hot we are?"

"Possible."

The game starts and I notice the third boy with the brown hair and middle part glancing in our direction from time to time.

"Masumi?"

"What?"

"The brown haired guy is kinda cute."
