Double Doomsday

After that whole encounter, the two of you headed back to Sonic's shack. Sonic had nothing to eat, so you decided to make it up to him. You fired up a grill, and started cooking your own recipe hamburgers. After about half an hour of preparation, you had finished, and gave them to Sonic, who was just resting on his lounge chair. He picked up one of the burgers, and gave it a quick sniff. Clearly, the smell of the freshly-cooked meat, along with the other additions were pleasing, as a loud growl emitted from him. "Wow, (Y/N). You surely are one heck of a cook. Just the smell makes my stomach excited." he said. You let out a small laugh at that, and sat right next to him. "Anything for you, my Sonic." you said. Sonic proceeded to devour the meal you made for him, which told you that you did a good job. With that, and a couple of burps the blue hedgehog let out, he decided to go for a quick nap. You would also get some shuteye afterward.

A couple of hours passed, and you were giving your blue boyfriend a nice backrub, which he was enjoying. Suddenly, his wrist communicator went off. He got back up, and answered the caller. It was Tails. "Hey, Tails. What's up?" Sonic asked. "Sonic, come over here. I've got something exciting to show you." Tails said. The two of you looked at each other with curiosity, and Sonic accepted. The call ended, and the two of you headed off to Tails' workshop.

After a brief run, the two of you arrived at Tails' place. When you walked in, Tails greeted you and everyone else. He had made a new invention, and wanted to show it off. But before he did so, he went over to a table and picked up a device from it, and walked over to you. It was a wrist communicator; you smiled at that, you were actually going to ask if you were ever going to get one of them. Not only that, but it had a (favorite color) wristband, and was a perfect fit. 'Pretty cool.' you thought to yourself.

With that out of the way, he went on to demonstrate his newest creation. "Here it is! The Reverse Polarizer. It takes any force and reverses it." Tails said. He proceeded to test it out by flushing a nearby toilet, and activating the device. The result: the water spun back the other way around, as well as shooting a bit upwards before splashing back down into the bowl. You applauded at the success. "Interesting." you said. "Rather strange, but interesting." Sonic then held up a plunger. "Guess we won't be needing this anymore." he said, proceeding to throw it out the doorway. Suddenly, there was a knock, and the three of you turned around to see Orbot, one of Eggman's henchbots, who hilariously, ended up with the plunger on his head. You couldn't help but let out a little laugh with that convenience. "Hello. Odd request. Could I trouble you to reassemble my dismantled cohort?" he asked, with all of you then turning over to see Cubot...in pieces. 'How did that happen? Eggman had a hissy fit?' you thought.

Of course, being the genius that he was, Tails was able to rebuild Cubot no problem. Whatever led to this in the first place, you can't help but feel bad for him, as well as pretty much every other robot Eggman has made. 'It must be hard working for a moody supervillain doctor.' you thought. With the press of a button, Cubot had been reactivated. "Watch what you're grabbin' there, bozo." Cubot said. "Huzzah! He's fixed!" Orbot cheered. Then of course came the obvious question. "Cubot, tell us what happened to you." "It's Dave. He dismantled me. And I liked being mantled." Cubot said immediately, as if he was in a panic. "Two questions have just entered my mind, but the second one's more important. Who's Dave?" you asked. Sonic responded. "Dave the Intern. That guy at Meh Burger." 'So that's his name.' you thought. "What was the other question?" Sonic asked you. You whispered to him. "Tell ya later."

Unfortunately, there wasn't much time to be caught up on what was going on, because Tails' computer beeped with an alert. The 5 of you rushed over, and Tails looked to see what the issue was. "Whoa. I'm reading two weird energy signatures from Eggman's lair." Tails said. "What are they?" you and Sonic both asked. "Jinx. You owe me a soda." Sonic whispered to you. "Not now, Sonic." you whispered back with annoyance. Predictably, Sonic chuckled at him teasing you. "Judging from how powerful and unstable they are, I'd say it could only be some kind of doomsday device. TWO of them." Tails replied. There was no time for questions as to how or why this was happening, as immediately after Tails finished his sentence, Sonic picked you up and raced to Eggman's lair. The whole trip passed like a flash of lightning, but you could only assume that Tails and the henchbots would probably be headed their way also, on the Tornado (you had just found out that that's what Tails named his plane).
