"I've got it!", cried the Wizard, "This is how the story will begin!"

The Wizard, like all wizards, is old. But not in a frail, senile way. His hair is white and his beard is long, he carries his staff, and pointy hat. His skin is wrinkled and he wears a robe, and his eyes are kind meaning he is a good guy. And he is a he, cos she wizards are witches (and generally evil).

Our particular Wizard had a name too, a name he had thought of long and hard before giving himself, a name both mysterious and grand. Our particular Wizard was named Fladnag!

Fladnag was sitting on a picturesque hill overlooking the entire countryside when this revelation came to him. In his company were, in order of importance to the tale, 1) From (read Fro-mm) and Sado (Sa-do), short almost human like underdog creatures with no attribute more grand than a good heart and courage, 2) Vainin, tall handsome man with the perfect tan and trimmed beard 3) Mattelad, a pointy eared and fair elf, handy with his bow, infinite quiver and occasional herbal magic, 4) Jimbruce, the short stout dwarf with his superior facial hair, and 5) an assortment of NPC horses (Fladnag's was special though, her name was Lightping).

"What are you talking about Fladnag?", asked From in perfect British English (it's a little known fact that British had colonised fictional lands too). The Fellowship had been travelling aimlessly for several days now, having been called together out of the blue by Fladnag. Fladnag being the wizard he is, no one dared disagree. If Fladnag had chosen them to go on a quest, they would gladly leave their lives behind and follow him. And there probably was some good reason too, maybe something they were not aware of, maybe something like a great evil was rising in the east.

"There is only one way to defeat the great evil rising in the east", said Fladnag, pointing his staff in the direction which probably was east (Wizards are rarely, and dramatically, wrong; and further supporting his direction sense was the ominous dark clouds, lightning and thunder that permanently, ominously and suspiciously hung over just a well-defined area of land on the horizon, while the rest as far as eye could see from that hill remained perfectly clear and cloudless), "We must find the strongest armour in all of our lands covered by sea on all sides".

"What is this armour you speak of?", asked Vainin stepping forward, in his deep manly voice. The heart of men, unlike other beasts, being fickle, he would probably become a bad guy for a brief while somewhere in our tale before having a change of heart and heroically dying to save somebody, probably an underdog. But that would maybe be in the future, right now he was a trust worthy figure and a character to look up to for the company (He is also probably the sole surviving heir of an ancient and great Kingdom, one can never know during quests like these"

"I am talking about," said Fladnag, looking off into the distant setting sun and pausing for dramatic effect, "Plot Armour"

"Just give us the exposition already Fladnag", said Jimbruce, impatient as ever.

Fladnag turned back towards the company of people around him. "You've followed me for a vague number of days now, trusting me to know more than you did", he said, "But, truth be told, neither did I know why I brought you all together nor did you know why you all willingly left everything behind to come with me. But, having wandered through the lands to be present at exactly this time at this place, I now understand. I didn't know previously, because the story had not begun. But now that it has, I know what we have to do. We have to save everyone", Fladnag pointed his staff back in the probably-east direction, "from the great evil rising in the yeast".

"Yes Fladnag!", said Sado excitedly (in perfect British English), "Let us go on an adventure! And save the world."

Fladnag looked at his merry company and smiled. The way ahead was torturous and long. And he would probably die and reincarnate in between. But he knew they could pull this off. This motley bunch of almost all non-evil species in the land.

"Yes Sada", he said, looking back towards the great evil rising in the east, "Yes we will"
