Illegal Love

RGE Chapter 1

Spring, March 22nd. Year: 2051

Godetia

Republic Of Green Earth (RGE) Rule number 1: The betterment of the world is the betterment of humankind. Do for the world instead of doing for yourself. Rule number 2: Love between men and women caused turmoil. While love between women is forever. Rule number 3: Those who pollute the earth, pollute their soul.

I recited those rules as I finished getting ready. The RGE saved our world and the least we as citizens could do is be grateful for the system and rules set in place. Before the system, we lived in a world where men and women lived together. I was lucky to be born after this time because that world was a terrible place due to women being destroyed by men. In middle school we learned that men were vile creatures that could never be trusted. They were known to smooth talk women with lies in order to rape and murder them. As if that wasn't enough - the worst extreme was permanent enslavement by men. The world was better now with us separated, men lived on their side and we women lived on our side together. In the states of America, there are controlled borders between Kansas, North and South Dakota, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas. Blocking the two sides of men and women. Illegally trespassing would result in execution. So no one ever dared to try it.

Another great deed the RGE did was delaying global warming with cutting back greatly on carbon admission, methane gas, etc. Majority of vehicles were either electric or hybrid, with the exception of a few. The reduction of eating meat also aided effectively for delaying global warming. Our environment is predominantly eco-friendly and mainly vegan and or plant based. Although, the ruling class would indulge in meat on occasion, while the working class is strictly vegan. This was seen as a special treat for the ruling class for all of our hard work.

I was fortunate to be a part of the ruling class due to my mother's being members of the RGE committee. My mothers worked to maintain laws and to create them. The working class was here to serve and aid us, such as workers, doctors, servants and so forth.

I was already being set up to follow my mother's footsteps and take their place once I finished my studies and was paired with my wife. I was only seventeen years old and was still completing my studies. At the age of eighteen, that's when I would be officially paired off but I had a couple months before then.

I was looking forward to doing my part in society to better our world. This world was for the better.

I put on a medium length dress that was the color of a lemon. So bright and a refreshing color, which I thought was great for spring. I paired it with a light jacket. I looked at myself in the mirror, I have porcelain skin and dark long hair, with light brown strands that look almost golden. My body was slender, though what stood out the most as always were my piercing blue eyes. People would tend to compliment me on them. After feeling satisfied with my appearance, I made my way downstairs to meet my mother's for breakfast.

"Good morning Godetia" Isabella said.

"Morning mom" I said as I grabbed a banana to eat.

"Can you sit down for a moment?" Victoria said.

I was already feeling anxious because I had class soon and wanted to visit our garden before I left.

"Yeah but I have school soon."
