Chapter 2 - ✨ 仙台 ✨

~Next morning~
You woke up and stretched your arms out before climbing out of bed. Letting a shy yawn escape your lips. Remembering what happened last night, your cheeks flooded red ever so slightly. You shook your head before heading over to the cupboard and drawing out a uniform.

Satisfied with the top half, you reluctantly put on the bottom half and frantically looked for a pair of leggings to which you successfully found. You put them on and went to head out of your dorm before grabbing some paper and a pen. You then left your dorm room and locked the door, placing the key in your blazer pocket along with some paper and your pen.

You knocked on Megumi's door and saw him emerge soon after also dressed in his uniform. He came out and locked his door, before greeting you and telling you the plan for the day.

"Hello. We're going to Sendai. Gojo-Sensei wants me to check up on a cursed spirit that's been placed at a school there." Megumi explains.

Good morning. So how are we getting there?

"Car." Megumi replies.

Ok. How long will it take do you think?

"I dunno. An hour." Megumi answers.

You headed for the car park and found the car belonging to the person who was taking you to Sendai. You both got in and sat in the back and waited for the person to take off.

"I'm Ijichi Kyotaka. I'm a manager. Basically I'm like a messenger between the teachers and higher-ups." Ijichi explains.

"This is Y/N. She joined yesterday." Megumi says.

"And she's already been placed on a mission?" Ijichi says.

"Mhm. Gojo-Sensei wants her to see what it's like to be a sorcerer." Megumi explains.

At this point, you had fallen asleep in the back of the car. Leaning your head on the window. Still feeling tired from last night.

"Hey Ijichi. How long?" Megumi asks.

"Not long, why?" Ijichi replies.

"Y/N fell asleep." Megumi says.

"Oh... I'll let you know when to wake her." Ijichi says.

A couple minutes paused still in complete silence before Ijichi spoke up again.

"You can wake her now. We're five minutes away from the school." Ijichi says.

Megumi leaned over the seat between you and him and tapped you gently. Attempting to wake you from your slumber. You stirred awake and looked directly at him before turning to look back out the window.

Are we almost there?

"Yeah." Megumi replied.

You arrived at the school and both got out. You thanked Ijichi and headed to where Megumi was told to look. It was already quite late in the evening by the time you had gotten there. You walked onto the campus and headed to a locker outside the school. Megumi opened it and...

"It's empty?" Megumi says, looking everywhere.

He then called Gojo and explained the situation. He told Megumi that you two couldn't go home until he found what he was sent there for. You settled on finding a hotel for the night and headed there. Megumi paying for the two of you.

You both headed up and saw two beds with fresh linen already laid out. You were pretty tired so you went straight to sleep. Not even thinking about eating or showering.

"You don't belong here. You can't even defend yourself." A voice told you.

"Look at you. You don't even have a full body anymore." Another voice said.

"You're weak. Saved by two strangers? Pathetic." The first voice added.

"Can you really call yourself a sorcerer?" Another voice teased.

You jolted upright in the bed, glancing over at the clock. 2am. You sighed and tried to get your breathing in check. You were breathing erratically, sweat beads forming on your forehead. Megumi slightly woke up and glanced over at you.

"You ok?" He asks.

You scrambled around, looking for paper but couldn't find any. You then just decided to give up and nod 'yes' instead.

"You sure?" He double checked before realising you couldn't find any paper.

"Oh..." He said.

You waved your hands as if to say it was fine and that you were as well. You settled down and tried to go back to sleep. Trying to rest some more before heading back to the school in the morning.

You lay back down and began sleeping a bit before eventually falling asleep. Soon morning came and you woke up to the sun shining through the window. You turned to look over to where Megumi was sleeping and saw he wasn't there.

"Did he leave already?" You thought to yourself.

Then you heard the shower start running and released that Megumi hadn't left yet. You pretended to go back to sleep so Megumi didn't see you peeking. However, when you pretended to back to sleep, you actually went back to sleep. A couple minutes passed and Megumi came out, seeing you still asleep.

He got changed and then went over to you and woke you up. After a few attempts, you woke up and looked at him. Looking straight into his eyes. You blushed slightly before looking away and at something else.

"You're awake. How are you feeling?" Megumi asks.

"..." You still couldn't find any paper.

"Oh. One sec." He said, looking for paper.

"Here." He said, handing it to you.

Thank you. I'm alright now. I'm gonna go shower.

"Ok. There's towels in the bathroom." He says.

You went into the bathroom and got undressed before stepping into the shower. Standing on the wet bath floor, you slipped a bit. You regained your balance before slipping completely and landed awkwardly in the bathtub. You couldn't call out for help nor did you have your phone.

"Y/N? You ok?" Megumi asks.

"..."

"Oh. Right. I'm coming in ok?" He says.

You quickly lean out of the bath to grab a towel and tried to wrap it around yourself. You managed to wrap the towel around yourself before Megumi came in.
