Chapter Twenty three

Lara Hamilton

All these endgame stuff is scaring me. Alisa and I were on our way to our class when someone from the shower room screamed. We both quickly checked our what would happen and we saw a girl crying because her jersey was shredded into pieces and her sports bag had disected frogs in it. Alisa had to excuse herself before she barfed.

The girl was from my team. I recognized her during the briefing.

"The Zeus is probably behind all this stuff," she glared at a locker as she clenched her jaw. She was a second year, and her name's Mikayla.

Her brown eyes became darker and her glare got icier. I placed a hand on her shoulder to calm her down.

"Hey, just chill. If we show our reaction, that means they win. They got what they want," I told her. It was one of Clara's wise words during times like these.

She wiped a tear of her eyes. "This jersey was from my dad, this is really important to me," she sobbed. She wasn't crying because of sadness, but because of anger.

I sighed, "no point crying over spilt milk. Let's get your stuff cleaned up. C'mon, I'll help you," I told her. She nodded and stood up. I went to her bag and got rid of all the frogs and their internal organs while she got a new pair of jersey.

We managed to clean up her bag fifteen minutes before her training starts. I lent her my sports cologne to take away the froggy smell.

"Thanks Lara!" She said before waving goodbye and running towards the basketball court.

-.-.-.-.-.-.

"Hey sis miss me?" Liam asked as he placed his arm around my shoulder. I chuckled before saying yes.

He sighed sadly before letting and looked serious. Then suddenly, he pouted.

"I miss Alisa," he frowned. I laughed at hus cuteness. I pinched his cheeks hard and laughed. "I'm serious! I always see Lance, her and Josh together but not me," his pout became more evident.

Well, in the original group, Liam and I are the only ones from Team Poseidon. And Team Poseidon and Team Zeus are arch rivals. Team Hades are the peace keepers- they don't go to the extreme of sabotaging other people.

"Why don't we all go out?" I suggested. "Let's bring in Clara and her friends too!" I added. Liam thought for a while before going into this hyperactive kid mood to agree. "Good idea! Maybe Josh can hook up with one of her friends and Alisa's all mine!" He exclaimed cheerfully before blushing slightly after he realized how loud he was. He pouted again.

"I really like her Clara," he told me. I felt so touched hearing him say that. He looked so sincere and since I trust him, maybe I should play cupid and set them up.

But then I remembered what Georgina said-

"Endgame is one of the main reasons why couples from this school breaks up."

I looked at Lance with an unsure expression. "Uhh Lee? Didn't Jake tell you about the romantic side of endgame?" I asked. His face fell when Jake's words probably played in his head.

He pinched the bridge of his nose before grunting. "Endgame lasts throughout the year, is this some kind of way to keep students from negelcting studies and sports because of relationships?" He asked frustratedly. "Or just to prevent teenage pregnancy overall? Because trust me, I don't we even have the energy for sex after our sports training and school!" He ended his frustrated speech. He looked like he was about to kick the dust bin nearby but controlled himself.
