I felt like I was going to die. Actually, I just wanted to evaporate and never be seen again. At least for a year. Specifically.

The sound of cutlery clanking against plates and glasses being set down on coasters was all I could hear. I was pretty sure it was all anyone could hear, unless they were wrapped up inside their own thoughts.

I glanced up through my lashes, noticing everyone was sat with either a bored, annoyed, nonchalant, angry and unsure expression. Some people were on their phones under the table while others just ate quietly.

Everyone had been together for an hour and this was the outcome. I guess it was better that someone getting a black eye though.

Someone cleared their throat and we all looked up at Dante who seemed frustrated with our silence.

"We're not here together for a year only for you to just nod in each other's directions, talk to one another for a while." He gestured around the 48 people situated around the table.

No one moved.

Or said anything, for that matter.

"Did I stutter?"

Then the conversations about nonsense started up. Wyatt was talking to Helios about some embarrassing family moments and I started talking to the girl next to me. She looked a few years younger than me and was the little sister of the Clemonte's.

We talked about her old school and our brothers for a while before everyone finally finished their breakfast. The tension was still high in the air but relief filled me when Dante dismissed us.

To say everyone ran out would be an understatement. I watched one of the guys bump into Damon and they immediately started at one another. The rest of us watched with confusion and boredom until the guy ended up slamming his fist through the wall.

They glared at each other before going their separate ways.

Huh.

Dante and the eldest of our brothers walked out of the dining room, talking about some shipments but stopped when they noticed the fist sized hole in the wall.

"The fuck happened here?" Alex asked.

We all looked between each other and shrugged before one of Dante's younger sisters voiced our thoughts.

"You made us live together."

With that, we all headed upstairs in search of our new room.
