Zephyrus was and always has been I very curious child, to the point that he actually knew people other than his mother and siblings. How? Well, Ze and Octavia were in two different places under the floor since there wasn't enough room. The one Zeph happened to be in, the smaller one, had access to areas outside the room. For years our little flower was too scared to wander off, but his father changed that. While there was never any direct communication between the two Zeph's father had a suspicion that he existed so while he was visiting Aurora he dropped a note into Zeph's area. What the note said was one simple sentence. "Wonder the tunnels little one"
So with newfound courage, at the ripe age of 6, our flower embarked on a journey. While on his mission he had gotten scared and pulled out the note. He discovered the man left directions to get to his room. Being the curious one he is he followed them. What he found were many books, some fiction others textbooks. Of course, our little explorer took them all thinking they were for him. They were he knew thanks to finding another note.
These books along with others over the years can be to thank for Zephyrus' brains and skills. While Bellamy was a good teacher the books just had so much information. The rest of the Blakes never knew of the books until after the mascarade party. When the books stoped Ze took it upon himself to find more, lucky for him some people kept some books under the floor. Like a certain doctor.
On one of these expeditions, our adventurer heard a girl crying. Due to the nature of his existence, this could mean trouble, but being 9 and empathetic our shy flower couldn't leave without comforting her. He was smart enough to stick to a nickname basis so he wouldn't get caught. He was called Leaf by the girl, due to the plant book he had in his hand, and she was called Feather, due to the black origami bird necklace she had on. Feather was 11 and the first person outside of his family that he had ever had direct contact with. These two soon became best friends and would meet at least every three days of not every other. The two trouble makers never did tell anyone about the other. They did explore the tunnels all the time though stopping as they got bigger and Feather got busier.
As always all good things must come to an end. They got caught. Zephyr and Octavia now in lockup sitting at 15 and 16. Their mother flouted and Bellamy all alone. The younger of the three would spend the next year here while the eldest would try to figure out life without his two little responsibilities. This is until the plan for the 100 was put into place. Our little flower is about to be sent to the once place he has dreamt of forever. Though it is not exactly how his books made it seem. Now he has to wonder if he can make it on this Earth that he has thought so much about.
