"You're definitely not a Werewolf, unless your running off afterhours. It's not something that will physically be happening to you, if only we—" Hermione stopped talking. The iris' in her eyes sparkled dramatically as she shut the book in front of her. "If it's not something we can physically identify, maybe your mother said something. If you don't mind, what were her last words again?"

"She said 'My brother, life and death. Good and evil.'" Venus recited. "I think I'm seeing shapes. I can't read anymore."

Hermione didn't answer. She was in a deep state of thought. Her face was scrunched and she drumming her fingernails rhythmically on the tabletop.

"My brother. Life and death. Good and evil," she repeated.

"Maybe it's time we go to bed, we've read through every book about Mythical and Magical Creatures in the shelves," Venus said wearingly.

"Wait!" She burst out. Venus flinched so hard she nearly fell out of her chair. "Sorry— I didn't mean to scare you but she said she loved you to the heavens correct."

"Yes?"

"Catholicism. Christianity. Islam. Judaism. The three monotheistic religions. They have mentions of Heaven. So, maybe it's religious."

"So you think she got that from a religion?" Venus asked.

Then she remembered the photograph Fred and George had given her. The pendant around her mother's neck, it was a star and crescent.

"Wait— that makes sense, Hermione. She wore a necklace, and it had a star and a crescent embedded in it."

"Star and Crescent. . ." When she turned Hermione had left her seat. She ran back with a large book in her hands. It looked remarkably bulky and rocked the table when Hermione slammed it down. She flipped through the pages and stopped at page 384, a chapter labeled "Islam".

"The star and crescent is an iconographic symbol used in various historical contexts, prominently as a symbol of the Ottoman Empire, with numerous modern countries still using it as a national symbol. It is also often considered as a symbol of Islam by extension."

"Well, that narrows it down." Venus subtlety said glancing at Hermione admirably.

"Now, we need to know what we're looking for." said Hermione sinking back into her seat.

"Life and Death," Venus repeated to herself. "Life. Look up life."

She pointed her wand at the book and chanted, "Paginis opus."

Soft 'schliff' sounds emitted within the Bible, it's pages fluttered ferociously until it stopped abruptly. Hermione flattened the leaflet and reading it intently. Her finger tracing down the minuscule letters imprinted onto the pages. Hermione sighed. "Nope, nothing."

"Death then, look up death." Venus urged staring over the book curiously.

Hermione repeated the incantation and the soft breeze of rushed pages flipping stung Venus' cheeks until they stopped. Hermione immediately began reading again. She let out a soft gasp and read, "In Islamic beliefs and mentioned in Quran, the Angel of Death is named Azrael; one of the four major archangels in Islam. He is responsible for taking the souls of the deceased away from the body."

"Venus. . ." Hermione started not looking up from the book. Venus could sworn her breath became shaky, her ebony skin going pale white. Was she scared of her? "Your Mum said, her brother, right?"

"Yeah?"

"He who brings Death, he is my brother." She repeated.

Venus didn't understand, but then memories raced through her mind. How her mother was able to go in and out of Hogwarts. The crescent-star pendant. Her off putting last words. Why no one could identify what she was.

"Venus. You could be the descendant of Azrael. The Angel of Death."
