20. Bad days ~

Fred's pov:
Guilt shoots through my body as I catch a glimpse of y/n tear struck face as she dashed out the door

"Fred what the f*ck was that?" Katie says shocking us as we never hear her swear

"I'm distancing myself from her, I'm planning something and I don't want her to find out anything about it" I say as I look down

"Okay how about you tell us what you're planning so we understand and don't have the need to rip all your hair out for doing that to y/n?" Angelina asks in a sweet sarcastic tone

"Alright, I plan to ask her out before I leave but I need to get everything ready, and it's going to take a while" I say rubbing my hand through my hair

"Tell us the plan and we can help" Lee suggests making everyone nod

Everyone huddles together as I tell them the plan

"Okay I understand why you'd act that way but you at least have to explain to y/n why you're acting the way you are. and just let her know you're not going to break up with her" Katie says which makes me realise

"Oh no no no no no, what have I done? She's for sure going to think I'm breaking up with her, or I'm getting bored of her, which I could never do but still!" I say jumping on the spot frustrated

"Alright calm down, let's just all go back to school and you go talk to her alone" Angelina says as we all finish our drinks and head to the station

I stop before ordering a butter beer in a take away cup and running out to meet the others

Back to hogwarts ~

I'm sitting in my dorm alone while I look through some photos

Most of them are group ones but the next one makes me even more upset

It's the photo from the gala when Fred and I were swaying in eachothers embrace

A few tears run down as I hear a knock on the door

I quickly wipe my tears before letting the person come in

Assuming it's Katie I stay quiet, but the person sits next to me and the scent of cinnamon fills my nose

Knowing who it is, I get under the covers facing away from him

"Y/n? Look I understand why you're mad at me, you have every right to be but I promise as soon as you find out why I'm acting this way, you'll understand" he says before it goes quiet

"I um, I also brought something for you, I'll just leave it in your desk" he says softly as I hear a cup being placed down on my table

I wait to hear the door close before I investigate what's on my table

And there sits a cup of still hot butterbeer and a small cake on the side

I smile a bit and take the drink, the taste of butterscotch on my tastebuds as I settle the drink down

I notice the photo I was looking at before on the floor so I pick it up, and place it against a stand I had on my desk

I end up feeling sleepy from the warm drink and take a nap

Fred's pov:
After coming out of y/n's dorm, I head into my mine to write a letter

'To Sirius,
This is probably a but of a stretch but I have a question which I need your answer to but before I continue, please don't bite me when you tell you this. Okay so um I may or may not have made y/n cry, BUT it wasn't on purpose I swear on merlin. The thing is I plan to ask her out on a date because since we've been together, I haven't had the chance to and since I'm leaving hogwarts, I wanted to get this chance before I do leave (also please don't tell my mum 😁)
