Ft. NCT's Na Jaemin
There were two rules:
1. Never wander the dark streets alone at night.
2. If you see a person wearing a black leather jacket with a golden phoenix on the back, you better turn around and run, and don't even think about looking b...
"He's an idiot." Renjun had said when Zhilan told him about her breakup. "Not that I would ever date you, I'm so much better than that. But I don't think you deserve a scumbag like him either."
The only problem Zhilan had with him was that stupid mind of his. Renjun also knew how to press your buttons, which was something he did nonstop to her.
"I hate you, I hope you know that." Zhilan said as she sat on her suitcase, closing it up.
"The feeling is mutual." Renjun replied, a smirk on his face as he watched Zhilan struggle.
Gosh, I can't believe I agreed to leave this place to live with him, Zhilan thought as she grunted, trying her best to close the suitcase. It was no use though and in the end, Renjun had to get up and help her.
"There." Zhilan breathed out as she stood up, dusting her hands off. Renjun stood up as well, checking his phone.
"Just in time too, we need to go." Renjun said, widening the door to her room for her.
Renjun's luggage was already in Winwin's car so he helped Zhilan with her bags.
"Did you pack all of China in here or something?" Renjun asked as he struggled with putting her suitcase in the back.
"No, you're just weak. Move." Zhilan said, shoving Renjun aside. She heard Renjun mutter something about working out with someone named Haechan but was too focused on lifting her bag to care.
The bag was heavier than expected though, and Zhilan almost dropped it but two hands reached out, helping her.
Two awfully familiar hands.
"Xiaojun." Zhilan said softly as she met the eyes of her ex-boyfriend.
"Let me help you with that." Xiaojun said softly, taking the suitcase from her hands but Renjun stopped him, shoving himself in his place.
"She doesn't need your help. We can do this, right Zhilan?" Renjun said, meeting her eyes.
Zhilan swallowed the lump in her throat. Despite how much her heart wanted to let Xiaojun help her, her brain told her it was a bad idea. "Right."
Xiaojun didn't leave though as Renjun closed the back of the car. It was clear that Jiayi and Winwin were chatting inside, both of them oblivious to what was happening outside.
"Zhilan, I want to talk." Xiaojun said is his oh-so heavenly voice that still made Zhilan melt when she heard it. "Just give me five minutes."
"We're in a rush." Renjun said, reaching for Zhilan's arm but Xiaojun smacked it away.
"Stop it, you don't even know what happened." Xiaojun hissed at Renjun.
Zhilan watched as Renjun blinked a few times, looking away as he took a deep breath before turning back to Xiaojun.
Renjun went straight up to Xiaojun's face, the two males chest to chest as they couldn't throw punches at one another.
"You're damn lucky you're a Phoenix, Dejun." Renjun said, staring into Xiaojun's eyes.
"You're lucky you're not from here, Huang." Xiaojun replied.
Zhilan rolled her eyes. They're both so overdramatic.
Zhilan stepped forwards, giving Renjun a tap on the shoulder.
"Renjun, it's fine." Zhilan told him. "I can handle it."
Renjun didn't seem convinced as he stared at Xiaojun before eyeing her. "You sure?"
Zhilan nodded and the male gave Xiaojun a dirty look before going to the car.
Once Renjun was gone, Zhilan took a deep breath before stepping towars Xiaojun. His face immediately softened, reaching for her hand. "Zhilan."
Zhilan knew better than to fall for his trap twice, crossing her arms.
"Listen Xiaojun, I said this before and I'll say it again. Whatever we had between us ended so you should stop trying to bring it back. If you really loved me then-" Zhilan's voice broke so she looked away, clearing her throat before continuing. "Then you shouldn't have done what you did."
"Listen, I can explain." Xiaojun said but Zhilan put up her hand.
"I don't want to hear it. I'm leaving Xiaojun. I'm leaving Beijing, I'm leaving China, but most importantly, I'm leaving you."
With that, Zhilan turned around, making her way to the car without looking back at her ex-boyfriend once.
