Taste Like Cucumber 🐰

Start from the beginning

Today's class was irritatingly hard. Every single thing seems to get on my nerves. The teacher's rambling about chemical reaction, the smart kid's continuous pen clicking, hot weather, everything. My neck stiffness only made it worst.

"I'm gonna throw away that pillow I swear," I sighed while massaging my neck with one hand and opening the door with the other.

I sat on the bench and continued massaging. It was not severe, but it still hurt. The blowing wind soothes my worked up body, letting my firing heart ease down. This is definitely my safe haven. I closed my eyes and breathed deeply.

Suddenly, the door creaked. Weird, Goeun already gave me an understanding nod when she saw me in the hallway, meaning that she won't bother me until lunch time is over. Carefully not to tilt my head, I turned around.

"Ya Na Goeun, I'm not hungry so don't worry–" my words were cut short when I saw who came.

Keonhee raised his eyebrow, the iconic eyebrow lift that made him attractive in the eyes of the girls, but he's unapproachable. His right hand holds a sandwich and a bottle of strawberry milk, another one shoved into his school pants pocket.

I was frozen to the spot on the bench, my heart pumping violently because of fear and.. excitement?

Hell, me and my veiny big hands obsession.

I was paralyzed with my eyes on his hand until he's seated at the other end of the bench, with not much space in between me and him. I gulped and silently thanked him for not mentioning how I drool over his hand.

I wanted to get away from him, but a part of me wanted to stay. I watched his movements from the corner of my eyes while I pretended to look ahead at the scenery. He placed the milk on the bench and to open the packaging of the sandwich.

He stared at the sandwich for a second, before letting out a sigh. I looked at him out of curiosity. As he noticed me giving him attention, he hold out the sandwich to me. I was confused, and it was written all over my face.

"I don't like cucumber, you can have it," he said like it's the most obvious thing in the world, motioning for me to take it.

Everyone knows the cafeteria's sandwich have cucumber in it.

Without voicing my inner thoughts, I hesitatingly reached out and took the sandwich from his hand. I tried to ignore the butterflies in my stomach when my fingers brushed against his hand lightly. I bowed as a thank you, not really brave to voice it.

"Y/N-ssi, use words," he sighed out, changing his focus to the buildings spread out in front of the school.

How did he know my name?

He's a year older than me. It's impossible for a senior like him to know a junior, not to mention a nobody, like me. I blinked to process the later words he said, then creaked out a voice.

"T–thank you," I stuttered.

Welp, that sounded better than what I imagined it to be.

Regretting my life decisions, I took a big bite off the sandwich to cover my embarrassment. While munching, I took another secret glance at him. He was taking sips of his strawberry milk, with his elbows on his knees.

How can he make that simple gesture look so hot?

Shaking away those weird thoughts, I ate the remaining sandwich quickly that I finished it in no time. I choked on the last bite, coughing vigorously while punching my chest. I heard a small chuckle emitted by him.

Gosh, this is embarrassing. I'm dying right here and he laughed?!

Managing to finally calm down, I wiped my hands and mouth with the pocket tissue that I brought everywhere. I glanced again at him, to find him already looking at me while drinking from his straw.

Flustered, I looked away. I heard a thud on the bench, like he put the milk bottle on it. I felt like his presence was closer than before, like he was sitting right beside me. He cleared his throat, wanting me to look at him.

As much as I want to look at this handsome Devil, I was afraid that I would look straight into those enchanting eyes at this close distance. I can't handle the intensity. Unexpectedly, he guided my chin with his long fingers to face him.

Now that I was directly facing him, everything else seems to fade away. He moved his hand to the side of my face, silently studying my features. Feeling overwhelmed, I eyes downcast, but dare not to move. His thumb caressing my possibly hot cheek made me shuddered under his touch.

"You're beautiful, but your lips are chapped," he proceeded to run his thumb on my bottom lip.

I'm Seoho's sister, but that doesn't mean I have tons of lip balm–

"Want me to bite it off?" His words stopped my inner monologue, making me snapped up my eyes to look into his.

Before I could respond anything, he launched forward and connected our lips, biting my lips rather harshly. I tried to reel back but his hand moved to the back of my head, securing my position. I had no option other than letting him abuse my lips.

The feeling of his scorching hot kiss was sinfully pleasuring. I was on cloud nine, the breeze blowing making it much more irresistible. However, before I could reciprocate the kiss, he pulled away, as if teasing me was his original intention.

"You taste like cucumber, it turned me off," he tsked and reached for his strawberry milk that he abandoned earlier, drinking it.

As I was registering about what just happened in my mind with my lips slightly apart, he put the bottle that was half drank in my hand. It brought me back to reality and I stared at him, still quite lost. He flashed his lopsided smile.

We were startled by the door suddenly bursting open, but Keonhee made his flinch unnoticed. Goeun's voice surfaced before we even see her.

"Y/N~! Let's get to class now–" Goeun sucked in a breath when she saw the school's Devil sitting beside me.

Keonhee took Goeun's arrival as his queue to leave. He got up and shoved both of his hands into his pant's pockets, walking calmly towards the door. Goeun wouldn't want to get in the way, so she took at least three steps away from the pathway, looking down to not make any eye contact.

"Ah, Y/N-ssi?" He called while holding the door open, making me realised that my eyes were already following his furthering figure.

"We've shared a kiss, of course we can share the straw. If you're wondering," he winked and showed his wicked smirk yet again before finally walking out.

I was pretty much sure that Goeun's eyes would be bulging out at the news, and the waves of questions that would escape from her mouth. But I could care less, because there was something more important in my head.

I just lost my first kiss to that Devil.
