HSTT - 77

"Why?" Tanong ko.

Inilapit niya ang bibig niya sa may tenga ko at bigla akong nakiliti nang maramdaman ko ang hininga niya.

"Uncle Red likes Mommy. He is your rival." Bulong niya at pakiramdam ko'y umakyat lahat ng dugo ko sa ulo ko. May gusto si Red kay Reginy?!

"Ivan, are you sure?" I asked him at pumunta siya sa harapan ko. Inilipit niya ulit ang bibig niya sa tenga ko para bumulong.

"I am, Daddy."

"How did you know that?"

"When we came here, Lolo, Mommy and Uncle Red talked. Lolo gave me to Auntie Ritsumi and brought me in my room. Tapos po lumabas po si Auntie Ritsumi tapos lumabas din po ako at nakinig sa tabi ng hagdan."

"Tapos?"

"Tapos narinig ko na galit na galit si Lolo kay Uncle kasi nga po nitago niya po kami. Tapos narinig ko na sinabi ni Uncle Red na love niya raw po si Mommy then sinampal siya ng malakas ni Lolo sa face. Umiyak pa nga po siya e. Masakit po talaga siguro 'yung sampal kasi naiyak siya."

"Tapos?"

"Hindi ko na po alam. Nakita po ako ni Lolo so I ran going back to my room.  I got scared to Lolo's stares because he really looked mad and scary."

Putangina! Nandidilim ang paningin ko sa nalaman ko. Ginagago ba ako ni Red?! Kailan pa siya nagkagusto kay Reginy? And of all people, bakit 'yung taong mahal ko pa ang aagawin niya sa akin?! Nababaliw na ba siya? And fucking what? Tinago niya si Reginy dahil mahal niya siya?!

"I'll talk to that fucking bastard." I was about to stand up but Ivan stopped me. "Bakit?"

"Huwag niyo po muna siya kausapin. Mamaya nalang po. Calm yourself dahil baka mag away po kayo at mas lalong magalit si Mommy sa inyo. May gusto po kasi yata si Mommy sakaniya e."

"How did you know?"

"I heard them talking before. Mom said she likes him and I felt sad hearing that. She should like my father only not anyone. Because if she started liking someone else, what about me and my dream to have a complete family? What about us, Daddy?"

"Don't worry. I'll pursue your Mom again and we will be together. I'll do everything for our family."

"And one more thing, Dad. Uncle Red is your brother but sometimes I feel like he is a bad guy. Be careful to him, okay?"

"What do you mean?"

They are closed to each other and I thought he feels completely comfortable with him. I was even jealous with them yesterday! I was even fucking scared too that he would choose him over me. Pinaplastic ba ng anak ko ang tiyuhin niya? Ke bata bata nambaback stab na!

"I don't know, Daddy. But I feel uneasy and uncomfortable with him sometimes especially when he is with Mommy."

"Okay. Don't worry. I'll watch him closely, okay?"

"Okay. I love you always. You are the best Dad!" Masayang sabi niya at paulit ulit niyang pinaghahalikan ang mukha ko.

"I love you too."

Natigil siya sa paghalik sa mukha ko nang may kumatok sa pinto. I stood up and walked towards the door. Binuksan ko ito at bumulaga sa akin ang inis na mukha ni Reginy.

"Hi, baby." Masayang bati ko sakaniya pero nilampasan niya lamang ako at pumasok sa loob.

Snobberish ang lola niyo.

"Ivan, kakain na tayo. Tara na sa baba." Aya niya sa anak namin.

Ivan ran to me and he held my hand.
