"Bye Mommy, Bye Daddy!" I yelled as they drove away, whilst I blew them a kiss. Today was the day. Today was the day I was free. My first day of college. No more annoying Ethiopian parents, no more slaving, no more negative energy. I had anticipated this day my entire life. I could not WAIT for what my new life would have in store for me. I had just moved into my off-campus townhome, and I know there are many memories to be made in it. Everything was unpacked and furnished with my belongings, all I needed now was excitement.
As I ran into my room and plopped on my bed, my phone started to buzz. It was my BFF Mya.

As I answered the phone, she screamed in excitement like she always did. "BITTTTCHHHH I ALREADY FOUND US A PARTY LETS GO, GET DRESSED". I chuckled lowly. "Girl they JUST dropped me off, stop it", I said playfully. "GIRLLL IM SERIOUS LETS GO" "HOWARD UNIVERSITY GONNA KNOW OUR ASSES", she said. "Bitch okokok where is it?". , I asked. "Ummm it says it a welcome back to a campus party, some dark skin frat niggas throwing at 11 tonight it so let's go wild out real quick for the ONE TIMEEEE", she insisted. "ok ok ill be ready by 10 and come scoop me, DONT BE LATE HOE," I said. Without saying another word she hung up immediately. "off that crazy bitch", I whispered to myself. I immediately got up and ran myself a bath. I kept it simple and decided to wear a black sundress and a sleek ponytail.
