I was hear at Bus Boys and Poets as part of homecoming week we were having a new artist slam. I kept looking for Chris but instead I just saw every other Ben high school student. The girl on stages performance was ending and it was almost Chris's turn but he still wasn't here.

Alright Thank you for that performance Angie," Chris brother, who was the MC said

Zoey was about to mark him off the list until she seen him walking in.

Hey there you are." She damn near jumped in his arms

Yeah it's my turn?." Chris asked nervously

Welcome my brother, Chris," His brother yelled and everyone clapped

He goes to the stage and I could tell he was so nervous. He tried to adjust the microphone to his tall frame and it back fired. A couple of giggles filled the room and he took a deep breath. He tried to sing but nothing came out and when it did oh boy.

I thought you said he was a natural and he does this all the time?." I asked his brother

He does just let me go talk to him." Christian said

I was on stage getting ready to make a fool of myself. When Zoey finds out I've been sending her the songs she'll reject me. I tired to adjust the microphone and it backfired making a couple of people laugh. Finally I tried to sing.. nothing came out but when it did it was like what the hell.. then my brother came and pulled me back stage.

I can't do this man Zoey is out there," He explainer

Duh so is the whole school look man it's now or never she loves the music you send her don't wait until she forgets you to try and say something. Just go and do it like it's just you and her. She's looking good, staring you In your eyes and singing along to every word that you wrote for her," His brother encourages

After Christians pep talk I felt like I could finally do it. I stood on stage and waited for the curtains to open back up.

How y'all doing tonight Ben?." Chris said

Good!." They yelled back

Well tonight I'm gonna sing uh..a song that I wrote. It's about a girl that I have a.. a very big crush on I see her out there tonight and I hope she likes it." Chris said

The beat to "Anonymous" came on he started singing.
"For a minute it was looking like. I'd end up one of those guys (Spending my whole life)

When I started singing and got to the chorus it felt like I had changed to a different person. Now was the time to look at Zoey and let her know it's her. Chris got on his knee and look her directly in her eyes singing.

The song ended and everyone was shocked and cheering. I smiled to myself and took a bow walking off the stage.

Wow..." was all Zoey said. I walked away and Lizzy who of course followed behind me and caught Chris walking out of the door.

Your just gonna sing to me, introduce yourself as my mystery singing admirer and then leave? Kiss me." She said to Chris who stood there shocked.

What?," he replied

You said you wanted to know me? You wanted to find me? Well here I am. Kiss me," I smirked

Without another word he kissed her and that was his confirmation that all this time she was feeling him and didn't even know it herself.
