[ Ren / Interrogation "Dreams and Wish" ]
Within the interrogation room, a guard sat in there, guard "Red".
"Prisoner 001, Ren, you may come in now," the guard said as he viewed the report on the table.
"U-Uh... I'll do so..." A meek voice resounded behind the door. Moments later, a blue-haired boy slowly walked into the room. "I-Is this the place...?"
"Yes, this is the place. Please have a seat," Red gestured towards Ren.
"O-Okay..." Nodding his head, he slowly made his way to the seat. "What am I supposed to do now...?"
"Firstly, let's begin with some obligatory questions. Any answer whether it'd be a lie or truth will be acknowledged," he said. "So, I'll begin-"
"...um...all lies and truth...?" Ren asked confusingly.
"It means that if you lie, I will accept it as an answer and will move on to the next question."
"...I-I see... b-but doesn't 'lie' mean doing something bad...? Won't we be punished for it like the boy who cried wolf...?"
"Hmm.. well, for this instance, lying would just mean just make it seem like your guilty of something, so wouldn't it paint a bad light for you?"
"...paint a bad light for you...? What do you mean...?" Ren asked.
"...you just need to know that lying would mean you're hiding something out of guilt which will put a bad opinion on you."
"A-alright..."
"Right, so I will now begin," Red nodded his head. "Regarding this whole... situation you're in, what do you feel about it?"
"R-Regarding the situation I'm in...? Um... situation... situation... It means something like condition right...?" Ren murmured to himself.
"Yes, as to why you were brought here."
"O-Oh um... I don't know what to think of it..." Ren said. "I don't really understand well on what's going on here... but I'm sorry if I did anything wrong..."
"It's fine, then I assume you heard about Program: Z.E.R.O? What do you think of it?"
"...it's the place where we're in right...? Um... I like it here..." he smiled weirdly.
"What do you like about this place then?"
"I don't know anyone here... but I feel nice and comfy being around them..." he muttered.
"Hmm, so you feel nice and comfortable with everyone in the facility?" Red asked.
"Uh... Suzuki-san and Eiko-san treat me well... sometimes Sayaka-san would come up to me and talk to me as well and question me like how you do it right now..."
"Sayaka would come up to you and question you?"
"W-Well... she would usually go on about wanting to heal me and that if I had any problems I would go see her..."
"Hmm I see... then what about Hatsue and Asami?"
"T-their alright... Hatsue-san sometimes talks to me and for Asami-san... s-she's scary... just like Hiro..."
"Scary? So you don't talk to them?"
"N-No..."
Red nodded his head. "Then, what about the rest of the boys?"
"Jun-san would treat me well as well... I like his presence... it's warming like Suzuki-san and Eiko-san..." he smiled weirdly. "S-Same goes for Daisuke... and for Kotaro... I think he dislikes me..."
"Kotaro dislikes you...?"
"Y-Yeah... he would give me a look that asks me to go away..." he muttered.
"I see. In relation to the earlier question I asked, do you have any close friends or family you spend time with?"
"Close friends... I think I do..." he murmured. "But... I don't spend time with anyone..."
"Not even your parents?"
"...papa and mama... they are busy all the time on adventures so I don't bother them..."
"Adventures?" he asked.
"Y-Yeah...! Adventures! That's why they go out all the time right?" he said with excitement in his eyes.
"...hmm so they go out on adventures huh? Then... what do you do if you don't spend time with anyone?"
"I would read storybooks... sometimes I would draw..."
"Do you like drawing? Is your dream to be an artist?"
"Dream... my dream is already complete...." Ren answered.
"Oh? I'm intrigued, mind telling me what you've accomplished?" Red raised his brow.
"I always wanted to go to the outside world and explore..."
"Go to the outside world and explore, what do you mean by that?"
"I wanted to see the outside world like in those stories now I'm happy."
"I see... now that you've accomplished that dream... what are you going to do now?"
"I don't know..."
"Don't you uhh... have any new dreams you want to achieve?"
"I don't know... I just wanted to experience what outside is like..." Ren said. "Maybe... my next dream... I can become an adventurer like in those stories..."
"That sounds like a fun idea," Red nodded his head. "Ever heard of games? Have you played any of them?"
"...games...is it like those games in the stories?"
"Yeah, you get to roleplay just like the ones in the stories" Red answered.
"Roleplay... what's that?"
"You get to be the main character in your stories and play it out," he explained.
"R-Really...? But... who will play it out with someone like me..." he frowned.
"The game will introduce you to people that you can talk to so it won't be lonely."
"...it's possible?"
"Yup, it is. You can roleplay with the prisoners here if you'd like."
"...the people here... will they accept me?" he murmured. "No, no... nevermind you can ignore me..."
As Red was about to say something, a loud noise pierced through the interrogation room.
"A-Ah... what's going on...?" Ren asked in a confused tone.
"Hmm, it looks like the interrogation will come to an end here. Please be patient, the story extraction will now begin. It's like a small check-up, so no need to panic," Red said calmly.
"...story extraction... it won't hurt right?"
"Not at all," he shook his head as he stood up. "Now, the story of sin will soon be revealed!"
