*Gasp* As I shot up from the ground, my head hurt as if I was knocked out. I shrugged it off and stood up and saw my lantern, I picked it up because it was pure darkness. The lantern was shining almost as much as the moon in the starry night sky. I can tell it had just recently rained considering my clothes were when and the ground was muddy. Every step I took my foot sunk into the mud and I had to tug my feet out as if I was walking in quicksand. A droplet of water shot down from a tree onto my forehead, I wiped it off and continued walking through the forest.
It had been possibly an hour since I had woken up after walking for it felt like a lifetime I had spotted something in the distance. Running as quick as I can with the mud dragging me down but didn't stop me from getting to that building. I got to the building with half my legs covered in mud. I wasn't able to find out what it was so I climbed the tall golden gate that kept me from getting to the building. When I got to the top I lightly released the lantern from my hand and I heard it plop in the mud, jumping off the fence my hand got cut by a thorn and started bleeding. I picked up my lantern which somehow didn't go out even after being in the rain and dropped in mud.
I gently stepped towards the building. After lingering around for about 5 minutes I assumed it was a home or school, there's only one way to find out tho so I knocked on the doors that towered over me. No one answered so I tried to open the door myself. The door was too heavy but I kept pulling and finally, it opened I was so excited even tho when I opened the door I got flung into the wet mud. I stood up as everyone looked at me...I didnt think there would be so many people there.
Frantically I got up and wiped the dirt off me. It was silent for a good minute until one of the older ladies walked over to me and in an upset but friendly tone says "Sweetie you know you aren't supposed to be outside when it's not free time!" I looked up at her and before I could say anything she dragged me to the bathroom and demanded I cleaned myself before she left she set down a set of clothes and told me to go to her when I was done
I got out of the shower and put on the clothes, it was a white button-up shirt and white cotton-like shorts. Looking for the lady I stumbled upon a library and as someone who adores reading, of course, I had to take a little peek. The library was full of different kinds of books, sadly before I could take a look at them I heard footsteps so I ran out of the room and walked up to the lady. She looked down at me and moved her hand implying I follow her. We walked up the stairs into a room with beds she pointed at one of the beds and insisted I slept as all the other kids were too. I nodded my head and laid down and pulled the soft cozy blanket over me, sooner or later my eyes slowly fluttered closed and I was sound asleep.
The sun glared in my eyes waking me up, I grabbed the clothes on my side table. It was a red cardigan and a white skirt, I changed and went downstairs where the lady from the night before picked me up and carried me to a room that was the "cafeteria". I sat down and that's when I realized my lantern was gone, I panicked and run out of the room into the woods and started digging desperately to find my lantern. The lady fiercely stomped towards me and grasped my arm and shouted: "Young lady NEVER do that again you got your uniform FILTHY and your hands are COVERED in dirt no breakfast for you!". She then continued to toss me on the ground I mumbled sorry but I still needed to find my lantern, I decided to look for it at night while everyone is asleep.
Shower Time

It was shower time so I went to the showers and took my dirty uniform off and got in the nice warm show it was so relaxing it felt like a hot tub, while the pleasantly heated water drops on to my back I massage my scalp with shampoo and graze my drenched hair in conditioner. The water started getting colder so I rinsed out my hair and gently scrubbed my soft skin.
Supper Time

They called the kids over for supper, when I got there some mashed potatoes and chicken were on plates. It smelled delightful, the mashed potatoes were so soft and fresh, the way the steam flow around. I was famished so I sat down and started devouring my food. Everyone stared at me as I was stuffing my face, I looked up and apologized quickly while wiping my face. I was sent to my dorm after I finished eating for having bad manners. I was about to fall asleep until I remembered getting my lantern.
Finally, everyone fell asleep...or so I thought. Quietly I stood up and walked out of my room, I then thought about how I'm gonna get outside. I then heard someone and ask quickly as I can I softly shifted behind the curtain and covered my mouth. The footsteps got louder and closer until I heard something unexpected, a little girl crying? The crying stopped so I peeked out the curtain and what I saw almost made me throw up. There was a little girl with her torso cut open and her guts all over the ground, blood dripping from her body, and the lady carrying the corpse. After that, I was too scared to try and sneak out so when the lady left I hurried to my room and got on my bed. I was petrified, I knew I knew I had to get out of here.
Morning Shower

I don't know why I even came to this strange building in the first place, how did I even end up in the woods? I decided to skip showers and look for my lantern, even tho I found that lantern not too long ago in the woods I felt attached to it like it was very important to me. Tracing my steps from that night I found out the lantern was gone. I shouted "NOO" at the top of my lungs, I burst into tears and started punching the dirt my face turned. My face was turning red and was basically soaked in tears, my hands covered in dirt. One of the ladies came and dragged me into the house, not a word came out of her mouth.
She grasped onto me tightly I felt her nails digging into my skin but at that point, I didn't care I just let her drag me. Dragging me into a dark room I saw a light, I felt alive again. My eyes widened and I quickly bit her and ran to the light, there it was..my lantern. I picked it up and suddenly the lights flickered. I ran as fast I could thru the woods almost away from that dreaded place, but then the hand holding the lantern started aching like someone squeezed it tightly I suddenly had a feeling, no an urge to go back.
