The Frendzation Program

I did not expect that

She just stared at me, "Not every guy named Freddy is supposed to look like you Freddy."

"Yeah, but i know for a fact that people named Freddy don't wear big glasses that break guinness world records."

She immediately placed her hand on top of her mouth as if to stop herself from laughing. "Freddy?! That's not nice."

"What? I was just saying the truth." 

She stood up, " Okay we should get going, it's getting late and Molly has to be inside now." she said changing topics.

After we had returned Molly to the shelter and Amelia had hugged her three times in a row I drove Amelia back to her house.

I stopped in front of her driveway and she turned to face me. "I hope you had a good time at the shelter."

" I surprisingly did." I chuckled, " You and Molly are fun to have around." I said and i saw her cheeks turn a shade pinker.

Adorable.

Wait...what?!

She then opened her car door, walked out and closed it. She took a couple of steps forward before abruptly turning back to face me through the car window by the passenger side. "Oh and Freddy, I want to say thanks for driving me there, for that delicious milkshake and for going there with me in general." she said in a sincerely and gratefully.

"You're welcome." I replied with a smile.

"Bye" she said as she smiled back before she continued walking to her door.

I started the engine and was about to drive out when I remembered something, i immediately rowed down the window and called her," Hey Amelia!"

She turned to face me with a questioning look on her face.

"We're going to the movies tomorrow."

She raised her eyebrows and seemed to have a look of astonishment on her face.

Maybe she thought I was talking about something else...

"You know, for the ' take your frendzation partner to your favorite place' thing." I clarified.

" Ohh...umm...that." she said as she shifted her glasses and smiled nervously. "Wait, i told you i'm not a 'go to the cinema to watch movies' kind of person, i'd rather stay home and read about the movie." she explained.

" Well i told you i wasn't a 'go to the animal shelter' kind of person but I went with you anyway."

She sighed. " It's fine then."

" Cool, i'll pick you up tomorrow, same time." 

I started the engine and was about to drive off when I heard her say," What movie are we watching?"

I smirked.

"It's a surprise." I answered before saying, " Adios mi amiga!" and driving off.

Well lets just say she may not be very happy with the surprise.

Amelia's pov.

The next day came and the school day went by fast. During lunch time Belle kept on asking me questions about how it was at the animal pal shelter yesterday with Freddy and Molly, and I answered honestly - it was super fun. First of all Molly was able to go on a number of swings and have fun which made me happy and she was very jolly around Freddy too. I had never seen her bark so excitedly at another person apart from Brenda and I. I guess she really liked Freddy or the fact that i came with a friend this time than coming to visit her by myself all the time.

And then secondly, Freddy said he had a good time which made me smile, before he seemed like he wasn't an animal kind of person but then he actually had a good time and that made me feel happy. And when he said Molly and i are fun to have around i had this warm feeling in me ( but of course i didn't tell Belle that, she would over exaggerate the whole situation). I never thought I was an amusing or even interesting person to have around except when i'm with my family and Belle, but when Freddy said it, i was gleeful and all i was just doing was being my normal, weird and nerdy self the whole time at the shelter.

And when he said that, I also had this weird flattery feeling in my tummy.

'They're called butterflies Lia'  my consciousness spoke to me.

What?!...of course not. 

It was just probably because I drank a lot of milkshake.

Moving on, Freddy said he was going to take us to the cinema today and although I would rather much read a novel, I eventually accepted. He mentioned something about the movie being a surprise and that made me wonder, but I guess i'll know in the next few hours.

When I got home I freshened up, made lunch and did my homework and a minute or two after 5pm Freddy was by my house. We drove to the cinema and he bought us pop-corns and slushies which was nice of him although i insisted would pay for myself but he wouldn't allow me too.

We entered the movie theatre and the movie...

 was not what I expected!!
