Haruka x Reader x Makoto

You could hear the water, lapping on the shore. The wind blowing as it caused waves to rise. Being near the sea calmed you. The sea breeze running through your hair.

Gou had asked you to tag along, to watch them swim. The Swim club that consisted of a few adorable, good looking idiots. It was fun with them. Nagisa bothering you every second, Rei looking at you from afar, Makoto being he mother he is, and Haruka, surprisingly, caring for you.

You've seen the few get into some stupid argument over something crazy or useless but it wasn't a problem cause you would be able to set them straight, though you knew they were hella gay, just kidding. But you loved them anyways.

Haruka and Makoto were the best among all of them, providing that they weren't quarreling over something stupid, like mackerels or water. They were the parents of the group.

They treated you exceptionally nice though, and for that, you developed a kiddy personality but only around them. You'd whine for something you wanted, pout when you didn't get it, only in front of the two 'parents'.

Haruka climbed out of the salty sea as he walked towards you, and you took a bottle of water in preparation, passing it to him when he was by your side. Makoto came next smilingly cheerfully when he saw you, you grinned back and passed him his water, the other two had to beg for theirs before you finally calmed down from laughing.

It was just another normal day.

"(L/N)-san?"

You turned to look at the brunette who had called for you, answering his call with a smile and a "yes". He looked concerned, but more 'what should I do?' than worried.

" uhm... I wanted to say something."

You nodded your head, waiting for him to speak up.

"I-"

And Haruka came along, dragging Makoto away by the collar, as they left you standing there, confused of what was going on.

You decided to follow them of course, something smelled fishy, and you were pretty sure it wasn't the mackerels.

"Haru!"

You could hear them talking, and Makoto was whining, "I almost done it! Why did you stop me?"

Haruka was silent, and said something you couldn't hear well, resulting for silence to rest upon the atmosphere. Makoto's voice then was heard, "what?! Haru-chan, are you serious?!"

Another silence and you heard Makoto say, "I see... Then hat makes us rivals then! I definitely won't lose to you!"

"Neither would I."

Ooh, this spiked your interest, a challenge.

Since then, the two had been trying to get your attention, sometimes even inviting you out, but you always insisted for the other to go along. Oh, look, Haruka asking you out, and your brain goes, "oh, I know! Let's invite Makoto!" Makoto invites you out, "oh, I know! Let's invite Haruka!"

Your brain wasn't making it any easier for the both of them. It was difficult to ask you out, let alone confessing. They'd walk you home, but finally when they had the courage, you'd have arrived home.

A Sunday, and you were walking around doing absolutely nothing but walking, breathing, maybe a few mumbling to yourself, you saw Haruka and Makoto at the far distance, they were arguing again, but you didn't interrupt. You watched as both of them talked to each other, Makoto adding a few whines to his tone.

"Haru-chan! You have to stop interrupting my confessions!"

"Confessions? To who?"

"(L/N)-san!"

"I'm not interrupting you."

"You are!"

"Am not."

"Just because you like her as well..."

And the bickering didn't stop until you couldn't hear them anymore, they were far behind.

They didn't notice you- wow...

You only stared as they left.

Great, another small quarrel, and this time you were the middle man... Okay, middle girl. Literally.
