7. Upset ~

I say goodbye to the golden trio before heading over to them

"Hey girls, how was it? I see it went well" I say looking at the amount of bags they're holding

"We brought so much, we even bought you some sweets" Angelina says while handing me a small brown bag

"Aww thank you guys" I say while walking with them to the dorm

We reach the dorm to see the twins playing wizards chess in front of the fireplace

Alicia and Katie head up to the dorms to put all their stuff away

"Hey ladies, what do you have there" George says pointing to the bags

"Nothing for you" Angelina says while putting her bags down

"What's in there y/n?" Fred asks while pulling me down to sit next to him and giving me a side hug

"Oh just some stuff the girls got me at Hogsmeade this morning" I say

"Oh did you guys hear, there's a gala being held a week for end of term for all 4th year students and up" I say while opening out a bag of hard candies and plopping one into my mouth

"Oh my gosh really?" Angelina asks while laying on one of the chairs

"Yeah Mcgonagall announced it at breakfast this morning but posters will be hung up in the common rooms for the people who weren't there" I say while smacking Freds hand away, stopping him from getting one of my lollies, giving him a glare

He gives me a sad face and pouts a little which makes me soften my face and I take one out and put it into his mouth, making his face go back to being happy

Harry walks in and tells me that a DA session is being held before dinner and if we could all be there

We all agree and Harry asks if I could remind Katie and Alicia as well, and I get a pen from the table in front of me and put a quick reminder in the palm of my hand

I give Fred a few more of the lollies before pulling out of his embrace and telling him I'm gonna go up to my dorm for a bit and that I'll see him at lunch

I make my way to the great hall with the twins for lunch when Lee pulls me aside, asking if he could speak to me for a second. I tell George and Fred to go on and I'll catch up with them.

"So whats up Lee" I ask

"Uhm I was wondering if you could help me in asking Katie to go to the ball with me?" He asks while looking a bit nervous

"Oh of course, some ideas you could do is maybe ask her out to Hogsmeade and pop the question there, or maybe keep it simple and give her a note?" I say while walking with him to the great hall

"Okay, I'll probably try the Hogsmeade idea but thanks y/n" He says before going up to his dorm to form his plan

"No problem!" I shout as I make my way to the twins, who are sitting with the girls, Angelina is sitting with her younger sister a bit further so it's just Katie, and Alicia.

Fred sits next to George whilst I sit next to Katie on my left and Neville Longbottom on my right, who's in a year below me

I'm currently chatting with Katie when I notice Fred throwing a paper to Angelina, getting her attention

"Angelina! do you want to go to the ball with me?" He says to her, shocking everyone including me

I look at Fred as my vision gets slightly blurry. Angelina looks at me, not knowing what to do but I get up and dash out of the great hall, not wanting to be there anymore.

I go to my dorm and fall onto my bed, a few tears running down my face, feeling stupid for thinking that I was going to ask him to go to the ball with me

Fred's pov:
"Uhm Fred what was that?" Angelina asks, still shocked while looking at y/n's figure leaving the great hall

"What? I asked you to the ball" I say shrugging my shoulders

"I already have a date, but I thought you would've asked y/n to the ball" She says confused

"Nah" I say with a monotone expression

"Fred I don't know what's gotten into you but y/n was quite upset when you asked Angelina" Katie says as she gets up and walks out, no doubt going to see y/n

I roll my eyes, not understanding why they're making a big deal out of this
