"She is mine." He repeats it to himself over and over until he is numb to the idea that staying with her now would only hurt him in the future. "She is mine, now." The sadness and jealousy seemed to disappear that night when he was finally back in her home again. The anger would never fade but he wouldn't ever let Sakura see that. But jealousy and possession were two emotions he seemed to stop masking around her.
That night, after dinner with his students, he came home to her the same way he had planned. Sarada was already down for the night and Sakura was cleaning up her space the best she could.
"Lee!" She exclaimed, excited to see him home. But he wasn't smiling, as excited as he was to be with her. She latched on to him in a tight hug. Fire seemed to light in his eyes, and the jealousy took over in an unexpected, pathetic way as he pulled Sakura into her room and onto her bed. He put her on the bed and slid to his knees, confusing Sakura even further, not understanding his reaction. "What are... you...?"
"I need you to be mine!" He cries. "I do not understand how... Why..." He holds her hands in his own, begging to hear something, to see something. Sakura slides his hands away from his to hold his face and push his hair back from his forehead, noticing the tears beginning to form and drip down his cheeks. "Why is this happening, Sakura?" Sakura kisses his face, finally understanding why he's acting this way. She was almost oblivious to how this was making him feel, and only saw the benefits to her.
"Lee, look," She paused and pulled away, reaching back into her bedside table, and pulling out the bottom drawer. Lee's eyes never pulled away as she shuffled around for a moment, pulling out at least 50 notes in a box. "This is... every note Sasuke has ever left me. Every time I've woken up without him without warning. I can count on one hand how many times he's told me he's loved me, how many times he's had sex with me, how many times he's made me feel important. The only thing I can't count is how many times he's hurt me," She sighs before her eyes dart to her wedding ring. "I've been wearing this thing, hoping he would come back and fight for me but, Lee, now I just keep hoping he... stays away," She looks back at him for a moment, making sure to look into his eyes. "Because I love your support and how you care for me and make me feel important," She slides the ring off her finger. "I wish I knew what was gonna happen when he gets back but right now, all I want is you."
The tears turned into a river as he looked through the notes and the ring she dropped in the box. She pulled his attention back to her by grabbing his face. He placed the box back on the ground, stood up, and leaned into her, initiating a deep kiss for the first time, finally feeling like he had the right. Like he knew that for now, it was okay that he was possessive.
His morals didn't matter for another night, Sakura encouraged the biting and jealous positions and thrusting and the amount of times he would cum inside her. The times he told her that she was his. It was similar but not quite the same as the rest of the sinful nights, more freeing. For now.
Lee slumped over and for the first time in a long time, he was amazingly exhausted, his stamina reached a comfortably low level. Lee had been selfish, and the realization of what he had done washed over him after the last time he finished.
"I, uhm- sorry, I think I did too much," He touches her bare back as she lay there, still shaking slightly.
"No, Lee," She sighs, clearly trying to keep herself from passing out. "That was the best you've ever done." Lee takes slight pride in this before deciding that even though they are both tired, the least he could do is run her a bath.

The next morning, Sakura still struggled to move and stand, so Lee took the day off to take care of her and the baby. He spent his time well, letting Sakura cuddle up next to him. But something changed over the next few days. Sakura's energy never really picked back up. Lee had gone back to working but Sakura felt different. Not towards Lee or their relationship, but within herself. She was still taking her few medications and her vitamins but there was only one other time she had felt this way before, but she couldn't put her finger on when. So she ignored it for as long as she could.
About a week into trying to find a nanny, with posters, word of mouth, and any other forms she could get out, and even a few interviews, Sakura began to feel ill and decided to hold off a bit longer on going back to work. Headaches, exhaustion, and insomnia made the idea of working in a hospital miserable.
It wasn't until she woke up next to Lee one morning while he was still asleep that she had an idea of what was going on. The love she had felt seemed to cover the fact that she should have had her period by now.
Lee woke up to the sound of gagging from the bathroom. He rushed to Sakura's side to comfort her, to find her not only vomiting but sobbing as well.
"What can I do for you? Sakura what do you need?"
"Water," She spits out, "Just get me a glass of water." Lee left and came back in only a moment with water. She backed away from the toilet and slumped back again. The tears wouldn't stop, but Lee just held her while she tried to sip on the water he provided. "Fuck," she said between sobs, "Fuck, this can't be happening." She didn't want to believe it but she knew there were very few other things this could be.
Lee rubbed her back and kissed her head, waiting for an explanation for why she was so upset. Surely this wasn't just from throwing up. But slowly, she calmed down and leaned into him. She could figure this out. Sasuke had only been gone 9 months by now. There was time to figure it all out.
"What is it, Sakura? I am here, I will try my best to help you," Lee pushed her hair from her face and tried to smile at her. "Talk to me."
"I... Lee I think I might... I might be..." She whispered and looked away waiting for him to get hit so she wouldn't have to say it aloud. He just looked and waited for her to finish. "Pregnant."
There was no reaction. Lee didn't know how to respond. He could be a father? Sakura is still married? Was he supposed to be happy, scared, or excited? He stayed confused for a moment before shaking his head to focus on Sakura, not himself. "Woah." Was all he could get out.
