2023: the Endgame
Ugh.
The world spun, and suddenly, I was flat on my back. I was still in the forest, but I couldn't find anybody except for Bucky, who looked as confused as me.
"Bryce? Where is everyone?" he called.
I surveyed the area. "I- I don't know, Steve was just right there, and Nico was somewhere around here... right?"
"Nico?" Bucky called. "Ava? Steve?"
"I am Groot,"
I spun around to see Groot approaching us.
"Groot?" I asked. "Where are the others?"
"I am Groot," Groot replied.
"I- actually, nevermind. I can't understand Groot," I quickly realized, giving up. "AVA? NICO?"
"Sam? Rhodes?" Bucky called.
"I'm right here,"
I turned and found Sam stumbling toward us.
"Where are the others?" he asked.
"We don't know," I replied.
We all circled up, calling for more people. After a while, we gave up.
"Guys, I don't think we're asking the right question," I said quietly. Bucky turned to me.
"Then what is the right question?" he asked.
I let out a shaky breath before answering."What happened here?"
