intro:

She is an angel, and when I gaze upon
her light—I see the grace, that magnifies
my faith; so when I stand and greet the dawn—
I see the light of heaven in the sunrise.

Angel

The winter skies, were always filled with rain
that soaked my eyes in rivers full of sorrow.
So in the icy grip of winter's bane—
I only saw more demons on the morrow.

But from the eastern sky—there came an ember
glowing softly through the arctic night.
Then all at once, the demons of December
quickly ran and scattered from my sight.

And as the light began to rise into
the sky, it filled my eyes. Then I could see
the ember, was an angel—shining through
the clouds, illuminating Liberty.

Then as the angel spread her wings, she broke
the curse of winter's bane—then freed me from
the grip of death. And as the dawn awoke—
I said, "I always knew, her light would come."

Now the skies bestow an atmosphere
that showers my eyes in sunshine every day.
So all I ever see throughout the New Year—
is light, with more expected on the way.
