Welcome to Alternate Encounters.
Contained in these pages are works of fiction that I felt didn't match the tone of the core "Vivian Chronicles" novel, but nonetheless use that universe as a base. "Infested" is the first of those stories. Each story will include a forward like this one that prefaces the contents of work.
This particular story takes place after the events of chapter one of "The Vivian Chronicles". It was written under the impression that the reader is aware of these events, but can be read independently if you choose to do so, and it will still be a coherent story.
