In first year, Willow Dalfinia ( or y/n l/n ) gets sorted like the rest of the witches and wizards, but... she is a muggle or a wizard without magic ( idk thought that would be cool) and she could have to make up excuses and stuff about why she isn't doing spells, ( but she can do potions if she is still a wizard just without magic )
If she is a muggle, she can't do potions
The two best houses for this would be Hufflepuff, then Gryffindor if she was a muggle, then you could also do Ravenclaw if she was a witch without magic
The genders can be switched
This can't really turn into a Harry Potter/ Cedric / basically any other nice character because they would be too understanding
The love interest can switch around to Pansy or anyone in Draco's circle, that just have to hate muggles, as this is a enemy's to lovers story
Condensed version/ plot of the first chapter for wizard
Willow's day is going normally, maybe describe some normal things she does in a day when she hears something ( crash, boom, bang, scream ) from upstairs ( where her mon is ) she runs up, and sees her mon lying on the floor ( she was hit by the Avada Kedavra spell found out at the battle of Hogworts ) mom says HaRrY yEr A wIzArD ( something like that ) and then she dies then Dumbledore comes to collect her and wish her away to Hogworts while telling her of her past. End of chapter one
Condensed version/ plot of chapter one for muggle
Basically the same thing happens, just the mom doesn't say she is a wizard and says Dumbledore will come and help you
While willow is thinking ( what kind of monster parent names their kid Dumbledore) Dumbledore comes and tells her about witches and wizards, and how everything works, and how he is a family friend and she is gonna pretend like she is his adopted child
