Part 20 Acceptance

Mew pushed him away with both hands. "You hear me, I am a real man, not like you who think that getting his mistress pregnant is a victory. Well, if for you that's the definition of being a man, then I don't want to be like you."

Mew felt a pain in his left cheek and lower lip. When he stopped going backward, he touched his lower lip and noticed blood coming out of him. His father just punched him. For the first time in his life, he was hit by his father.

He then saw his father, charging at him like a bull again. Mew moved back, seeing his father, coming to hit him again. "You ungrateful thing. You should be proud to be my son, because of me, you have all these [he waved his left hand to show some part of the living room]. Yes, I am a man, I love women as it should be, the natural way. You ar-" Mr. Kadir fell his body been pulled.

Lamai was quiet all these times when Mew told them he was gay and in love with his friend, Knock. Mew was shocked to see this sweet, mostly quiet lady screamed at a much taller person in front of her.

"You get out of our house! We are happy without a bigoted person like you. I will love my son for the two of us. My son is perfect the way he is. You don't get to judge him for loving another man. This will be the last time you touch him. If I ever see you hitting him ever again, I will kill you with my bare hands. Now, get out, get out!" Lamai's angry tone was shocking to Mew, but at the same time, he was proud of her.

His mom, the person closest to him now, was defending him. She was the only one who accepted him, just the way he is.

His father, on the other hand, was the opposite. Mew could not believe that those words were coming out of his father's mouth.

"The people that I trust the most are the ones who hurt me the most." Mew had to lean against the wall; he needed support. Watching Lamai pushing his father out of their lives was too much for him.

His father, the person he admired the most. The one who taught him how to ride a bike, swim, and even defended him when Lamai would discipline him to be so mischievous when he was younger. His father was his hero because of his father, Mew wanted to work in the real estate world.

Beep!

Mew had to sway the car to avoid hitting another car. "Mew, pay attention to the road and not the past. If you keep at it, you will not have a future." Mew realized that he was crying.

He did not know if he was crying from all the things that happened during the day. Gulf not sure of his feelings for him, Knock coming back to his life out of a sudden. Now he is on the way to see his father. The man that dishonors him because Mew decided to be gay as he always pointed out.

Mew follow the GPS directions even when he still remembers the way to his father's house with his second wife and three children. Mew's heart was pounding, sweating hands and dry mouth.

He turned, and the third house to the left at the end of the lane was his father's house. He remembers when he came with Knock one time. Persuaded by Knock, Mew decided to give his father another chance for his father to know how happy he was with Knock. Mew wanted to meet his new brother, but that was an epic failure. His father chases them away.

"If you continue with that idea of being gay as you call it, get out of my house. I don't want for little Tim to know about this." Mr. Kadir stood in front of the door, not letting Mew enter the house. His second wife was standing there, looking, frighten, quiet.

Knock pulled Mew and told him to get out; he did not want to see Mew suffering. Three streets down, Mew stopped the car and began to hit the steering wheel in the car. Knock had to stop him. He proceeds to hug him, then kissed him. That was the day Mew and Knock lost their virginities. Mew was happy to be with Knock, but something was missing to be completely happy. He wanted to have his father in his life.
