"Cyber bullying is no laughing matter. Sending someone a cruel message online can be just as hurtful as saying it to their face." I yawned softly, not even paying attention, stretching my legs out more, I was using one of the chairs as a leg rest, leaning against Eli a bit.

"Now I'm not going to name names, but the other day a mother called me up because her son was crying after a group of kids online made fun of his facial deformity." At that I looked up at Mrs. Phillips, hearing everybody whispering or pointing out Eli. Well that was fucking shit, these teachers are so ignorant.

I saw Eli reach up and cover his lip and look down, I frowned. Sitting back up I saw that his eyes were glossed over, I wrapped an arm around his shoulder and placed my hand over his. I saw someone whispering and I made direct eye contact with them, glaring at them until they looked down. That's what I thought.

"Our goal today is to make this school a safe place for all students." I scoffed, my arm around Eli getting tighter as I leaned back on my chair. I didn't want to let him go.

The scowl on my face disappeared when I heard Miguel talk, "You know if you're sick of getting bullied, my karate dojo is looking for recruits." I raised an eyebrow, I didn't know there was a karate dojo here. It must be new.

"You hear that Eli? A little karate training and you're gonna kick some major ass!" Demetri joked, making me roll my eyes. Seriously he was so negative.

"I'm serious Demetri, my sensei is the real deal and I'm sure I could get the three of you discounts." He looked from Demetri to Eli to me.

I was about to open my mouth before Demetri beat me to it. "As enticing as that sounds, I think we'd rather spend our afternoon playing Crucible Control than getting hit in the face."

"Who knows, maybe he'll kick your ass someday Demetri." I said in a serious tone, staring Demtri down with a small smirk. Seeing everyone looked at me I rolled my eyes. "Kidding. I was kidding jeez."

"You should definitely join Selena! You're perfect, you've definitely got what it takes. My sensei would love you you're tough and from what I've seen you don't take shit from anybody."

"I don't need to learn karate. I took lessons when I was younger I'm a black belt. But I'll think about it." I said, everybody seemed surprised to hear that.

"Really? I just figured you were all bark and no bite." I scowled at Miguel.

"No, I bark and I bite. I haven't done karate in years though, I'm probably rusty." I said, taking a sip of my chocolate milk. Realizing I was still holding onto Eli I let go, feeling my cheeks heat up a bit, "Sorry Eli."

Beginning to pay attention I looked up at Mrs. Phillips, laughing softly. "Instead of a 'sexy nurse', maybe try, 'gender-neutral hospital employee'."

"Are any of you guys going to the dance?" I asked curiously, I wasn't planning on going since I didn't think Eli would go.

"Yeah-" the moment I heard Demetri say yes I cut him off.

"Oh cool, Eli what are you gonna go as?" Demetri looked at me with his eyes wide that I had cut him off and Miguel was chuckling.

"I-I'm not sure, probably something that'll cover my face.." I frowned at him, softly reaching for his hand and rubbing his knuckles. I saw him blush and I felt my cheeks heat up too but I didn't let go. He was just so cute.

"And you Selena?" Miguel asked me, I shrugged.

"I dunno, probably a vampire or something, I have a dress that'll probably fit the whole aesthetic of it."
