Henry Kart

Henry inspected the back tire of his scooter. He took out a little pebble that got stuck in between the ridges of the tire. There. Now his trusty scooter was ready. The owner got onto the vehicle and started up the motor. He drove towards the rest of the group that was waiting for him.

Somehow, a race track suddenly appeared in the middle of the desert. No one knows when exactly it appeared, or how it even got there in the first place. It was one of those supernatural occurrences that seem to become a regular thing. As a result, both the government and Toppat Clan went to see it for themselves.

By sheer luck, both factions arrived at the same time. Before a huge fight could break out, someone said that they should race vehicles on the track, just for the heck of it. After all, that's the purpose of a race track. General Galeforce and Reginald agreed on a temporary truce for the event, although reluctant since both were paranoid about what the other may do.

The crowd was made up of government soldiers and Toppat members. It was a nice change in pace with no one fighting over stolen valuables or crimes committed. Too bad the peace wouldn't last for long after the race.

Henry drove up to the track on his scooter, and parked it next to Ellie's motorcycle. Ellie had heard Henry's scooter and approached the man himself. "Hey Henry! Ready for the big race? I heard that there are going to be some interesting vehicles driven on this course."

'Hell yeah I am.' Henry signed. 'I heard those rumors too. I'm still not exactly sure what people mean with the 'interesting vehicles.''

"Me neither. I guess we'll have to wait and see." Ellie looked down the horizon and gestured towards a rising pile of dust in the distance. "I think here comes the other racers."

The two friends watched the other racers show off their wild rides. Henry looked at them in awe. Those vehicles looked way more epic compared to his plain old scooter. He could have sworn one of those karts looked like a helicopter.

"About time they all showed up." General Galeforce had been watching the approach along with Henry and Ellie. "Are you two ready with your vehicles?"

"Yep. Say, how did they get those rides? My motorcycle looks like trash compared to those." Ellie asked the question that's been on both her and Henry's minds.

"All you had to do was tell me you that you wanted one, or didn't have a kart to race with." The general took a glance at Henry's scooter and Ellie's motorcycle. "Either way, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Sometimes 'old-reliable' is what gets the job done. Good luck to the both of you." General Galeforce walked away from the duo, heading to the spot by the starting line where he can monitor the race.

Why didn't anybody tell me about that? Henry was still annoyed about not knowing the information on getting a cooler ride. Anyway, now that the karts were at the track, Henry observed the competition. He thought upon some possible strengths and/or weaknesses for each kart.

Henry was right about one thing, there was a kart that resembled a helicopter. Gee, I wonder who's driving that one? Henry smiled at the image of Charles driving it on the track. It suits him though. You can never separate that man from helicopters. Now let's hope that he doesn't try to crash it.

The next kart he saw was actually a yellow sports car. That can have some speed, but if for some reason the track gets wet, or the kart goes off-road, then the driver could be in trouble. That car actually belonged to the Toppat Clan. Reginald was going to use it for the race, since he thought it was the best one for racing.

Next to the sports car was a black kart with a red design on it. From far away, the design looked like flames. That car is aerodynamic. It looks like it could have the same strengths and weaknesses as the sports car. That custom made kart was being driven by Right Hand Man.
