A man ran past you holding the woman's purse.
"I'll get it for you" I ran after him
It had been a while since you've run this much, it's not you've been slacking off with practice but it's just so cold for this shit.
"Stop!" I yelled, "Give it back!"
"Shut up kid!" the man jumped over a fence

I jumped right over the fence following the running figure into an alleyway, it's incredibly dark and silent. Your eyes looked around your surroundings trying to see if the man's movements will appear any time soon.
"Ah shit!" the man came out of a garbage can "I can't run"
He dropped the purse and fell on the floor.
"110 will be on its way" I grabbed the purse right from the concrete (110 is the police station in Japan)
"Fuck you" the man's voice strained

"Thanks" I held her hand entering inside taking off my shoes
"What took you so long?"

"Ah, I have tea in the kitchen," she said "I'll be inside if you need me"
"Where's dad?"
"Dad is...still at the station" she put her head down
"I thought you had the money to bail him out" I stood up
"I don't have it yet..."
"It's okay, mom" I hugged her "I'll get extra shifts"
"No!"
"No?" I asked her "Mom-"
"Your too young to be suffering like this" she cried "I'll get the money soon, stop worrying."
"Alright"
She kissed the top of my head and went straight back into her room.
