Small footsteps echoed through the empty hallway of a small house filled with scattered toys in the living room which was left last night. The baby wearing his owl onesie that was bought by his very good uncle, Bokuto Koutaro, ran with all his might towards the room of his parents, carrying his favorite owl pillow which was bought by his father.
"Mommy!" He knocked on the door. "Daddy!"
His tiny voice reached the other side of the room, causing you to stir in your position, rubbing your eyes. The rays of sunshine hit your eyes as the wind blew your curtains, causing the light to enter those tiny gaps.
"W-Was that a rat?" You mindlessly asked, sitting on your bed with your feet swaying above the floor.
Last night was a mess; with your house completely turned upside down after Koutaro visited just to see his little Keito. He brought snacks, DVDs, and new toys for everybody. If Keiji didn't push him away, he'll most likely spend the night over your house but your very good husband reminded his friend that they have an upcoming match.
Which will happen today.
"Mommy!" The tiny voice echoed again. "Open the door!"
"Oh my God," That wasn't clearly a rat. You immediately came back to your senses to get your child which is now banging the door, probably with his pillow.
"Keito, what happened?!" You kneeled in front of your baby. "Is something wrong? Are you hurt? Tell me, did you had a bad dream?"
No open wounds, no mosquito bites, and his teeth are complete. Okay, okay, calm down.
