Chapter 2: Old friend

"Guys, wake up-! Wake up-!"

Felix, who was still hugging Jisung, felt himself being shaken up and his eyes opened to see Seungmin with a worried-horrified expression, and the already woken up Jeongin.

"Seungmin? What's wrong?" he released his twin from the cuddle hug, which woke him up too.

"I saw someone by the window-! I went to drink water and then I think I saw someone..."

Jisung rubbed his eyes and as the oldest, he felt his responsibility to go check, even though was scared himself.

"No one's there. We're all safe, guys." he said.

"But I saw someone-!"

"Whoever was there is gone now, Seungmin. Don't worry." Jisung patted the taller's head when he walked up to the youngers after checking the door.

"Let's go back to sleep. Felix, wanna sleep with Seungmin? Your hug helps." Jisung smiled.

"Sure." the younger smiled back.

Jisung was coming from the kitchen with some drinks for the others since they were planning on eating. He stopped midway to listen closely to the news Jeongin and Felix were watching since Seungmin was helping him out in the kitchen.

"...this snake bite seems to kill a human-being almost immediately after he is bitten."

The cameraman tried not to show the whole body, since it might trigger the viewers, but he did capture the bite mark on the person's neck.

"This man is dead."

SMASH

The two on a couch immediately turned around and Seungmin's attention was also caught when Jisung dropped a glass of water. He looked horrified. His mouth was slightly open, his hand that dropped the glass was still in the same position and was invisibly shaking.

"Hyung, are you okay?" Jeongin asked and Jisung snapped out of his thoughts.

"Huh? Oh. I'm good, I'm good. Sorry." he quickly reassured them as he carefully returned to the kitchen to grab a rag to clean up the spilled water and the broken glass.

"What do you call this?!" Chan explodes at Minho and Hyunjin, showing them the news.

"Which one of you was it?"

Their eyes widened as they looked at the screen.

"It wasn't me-!" Minho immediately said.

"It wasn't me either, I swear!" Hyunjin also exclaimed.

"What's going on here?" the shortest came out of the room, half awake.

"A human was killed." Bang Chan answered.

"So what? People get killed all the time." Changbin shrugged.

"By a vampire." the oldest finished, surprising Changbin.

"Alright, judging by all of your reactions, none of you had done it." the blonde came to a conclusion.

The three shook their heads. Chan sighed.

"Well, this means we have a problem. Someone exposed himself, putting all of us in danger."

Through they all tried controlling themselves, they couldn't hide their hunger for actual human blood. Seeing that dead body with a vampire bite mark didn't make the situation any better. They even felt somewhat jealous.

Next day was a school day. The vampires were there too. To study? Yeah, right.
No. They are there to learn more about Jisung, Seungmin, and Felix. They need to know the perfect timing to attack their specific human. When they will be left completely alone with no one around.

Bang Chan, Minho, Changbin, and Hyunjin weren't A-students, they were more... on an 'outcast' level.

Handsome outcasts.

They weren't the popular friend group of school but were pretty well known since they always hung around together. You could never find them on school pictures though. They'd always skip the picture days and delete their information from college yearbook albums and office files. It's like they're there, but they never exist there either. Well, how would you feel if you were taking a school photo and 4 particular students weren't seen on them? Creepy.

Jisung, Felix, Seungmin, and Jeongin were also the group that are always together wherever they go.

Passing through the hallways, the two groups meet. The youngers were chatting and laughing when one tall boy from the vampire group caught Jisung's attention.

"Hyunjin-..." the blonde boy's breath hitched as he saw the boy.

"Jisung..." Hyunjin was also surprised. He wasn't planning on bumping into Jisung while searching for Felix.

Jisung frowned as he turned around dragging Felix with him after seeing Hyunjin's gaze also focus on the younger.

"Jisung, wait!"

"Let go of me!!" the younger shoved his hand out of Hyunjin's grasp. The taller could see Jisung's hand starting to shake as he grabbed it with the other one to calm down.

"Let's go, Lix." he said with his head lowered as he grabbed the Australian's hand and started leaving, youngest ones following them, confused and worried for their hyung.
