Aiden : I appreciate the expense and effort that clearly goes into purchasing the television.
Cooper : I'm sorry. I know we-
Chris : Don't be a jerk, Aiden ! As a guest, in his house-
Aiden : I'm being completely sincere ! First of all, it's a flat screen, which is nice because digital oscilloscope present in flat screens are far superiors to the outdated vacuum-assisted electron emission of CRTs.
Chris and Cooper : Huh ?!
Ted : Uhuh.......... (Confused face, head scratch)
Aiden : And secondly, can we just talk size here ? We're looking at 30 inches. Conservative estimate.
Chris : Aiden, it's really not that big.
Cooper : Yeah, maybe you need your reading glasses ?
Aiden : Third and final ! It's even got pause feature built in ! Watch at how it's paused in the middle of panning shot of a computer-generated hypothetical tomography model of the ostensibly sacred source of magic (waves right hand far above the Tv)
The other three realize that Aiden has been referring to the giant artistic portrait of the Marker hanged high on the wall.
Cooper : Eh um...... You-you do realize the Tv's right below that, right ?
Ted : So much for a prodigy. Didn't notice something at eye level.
Aiden : (Now waves at the 16 inch Tv) You mean this oversized LCD clock ? Heh heh, thought it was some bizarre gift from 2 Altmass ago. This is the Tv-I mean, how would anyone notice ? Did anyone even-Alright, enough with the theatre class. How would anyone not notice ? How could anyone not noticed how much of cheapskate freak Mr. Chu-Chu is ?
Cooper : (Glasses kind of foggy) Aiden, not now-
Aiden : No ! Cooper (Approach the skeleton kid) Cooper, listen, i'm standing for you, okay ? I'm saying, that you shouldn't have to accept this nonsense, okay ? (Grabs Cooper's shoulder)
Cooper : (Small, hesitant nod)
Aiden : (A little smirk, pats Cooper once before facing the older teens again) The skeleton is making 'only' 200k a year, as he insisted. So why can't he do better ? 'Hey son, I know you've been wanting a Tv for a while, and I have more than enough to buy that awesome 40 inches Curved Flat at the store, so how about this dinky piece of second hand garbage instead ? Sure it's small, but it's L.E.D. ! So you can watch all the dots of the channel's logo come to live !'
Ted : (Hits dead center in Aiden's scalp)
Aiden : (Drops hard to the floor)
Ted : Did I kill him ? Finally ?
