Chapter 5: I'm Getting Nerfed?

"I understand that Dante, however, we cannot have our students fearing us to the point that they would want to rebel. If they do, then everything we've worked so hard for will be for naught and our fight against my mother will have been lost", said Satsuki.

"So, what do you want me to do?! Apologize? Hell no!"

"No, I want you to be less brutal in your methods and more professional."

"What? Are you saying you want to nerf me?!"

"She's saying we're going to rebrand you. You know, along with your fresh new look, you get a new weapon", said Nonon.

"Rebrand? What the hell", Echidna said mentally.

"Explain yourself", demanded Dante.

"Look, you don't have to change your methods entirely, but I do want to train you in swordsmanship. Just so that things are not as brutal and savage as yesterday. While your methods are effective, the way yesterday was handled displays us as animals. Plus, it'll add a new option to your arsenal", Satsuki said.

"Look, what happened yesterday wouldn't have happened if I was allowed to do my job. I get that you're interested in that bitch, but-", he was cut off by Satsuki.

"Dante...we've noticed you have been getting more and more aggressive. Initially, we thought it was just acting. But after yesterday, I think something is changing your mentality. Back when you first arrived, you would incapacitate but not kill, nowadays, you damn near kill and torture anyone who displeases you that isn't us. Echidna could you possibly give some insight as to why this is happening."

"Hmm, perhaps it has something to do with his physiology. As you all could probably tell, Dante is a lot more than he appears. He is physically stronger than most people and his mentality is a lot different as well. I believe it is because he is not human", Echidna explains.

"Not human", Hōka exclaims.

"Explain", Satsuki asked.

"Certainly, when I encountered Dante, I noticed that he had rather interesting aura about him, like something dark and divine. Then, I noticed his ears and how they were pointed, and I assumed he was an elf. However, there were no dark-skinned elves where I came from, so I believe that he is what they consider to be a Dark Elf, but I'm not entirely sure as I don't believe that they existed until him. The best explanation I can give you is that he is an alien and certainly not human.", Echidna explained.

"Hmm that would explain his absurd strength", Ira nods in acknowldgement.

"So, he is going through some sort of psychological change", Satsuki asked.

"Like I said, I don't know. But I do believe it has something to do with him being bored. It had been building up for some time now and I believe he needs a trip of sorts to get it out of his system", Echidna said.

"Well can't he fight during your trip to that town that is coming up according to you two", Uzu asked.

"No, we cannot, trust me when I say I want nothing more to enjoy a fight like he does, albeit I can control that urge a bit better than he can. But that is beside the point, we cannot fight there because we have very important business there, and fighting will ruin the plans we have there", Echidna informs.

"So, when will you two be leaving", Satsuki inquired.

"Either tomorrow or the day after", Dante says regaining control.

"I see, very well, also your clothes are ready, go get dressed and meet me in the gym, I be training you in swordsmanship today, and remember, no magic, no Authorities. From now on, unless I give you permission to use them in combat, you shall not use them against anyone." Dante then looks angered by this for a moment before realizing something and then his lips curl ever so slightly.
